i have to wonder if all these radars that have been hit, that are designed to track incoming missiles, actually were tracking the very incoming missiles that took them out.

Like was there a radar operator sitting at his console, yelling out instruction, coordinating etc and actually seeing trajectory culminating on their very position?

In the Navy we call that CBDR, Constant Bearing Decreasing Range.

(granted you are on a naval ship with more than capable defenses- im thinking more of mobile radars like we have been seeing out in the open fields operating )
