UnitedHealth CEO shot (4 Viewers)

Cool. So you're in favor of murder if someone fits a certain definition of evil. And apparently several people on this board agree with that position. What is this Twitter?
Once again, as long as those who yield all the power & wealth are cool with sanctioned homicides of US citizens via school shootings, atrocious healthcare policies, murder at the hands of the police, poisoned water systems and wars to protect the assets of the 1%, then sure.

I repeat: we have asked nicely, played by the rules, voted, protested peacefully and done all the things. It got us nowhere. You tell me why the hell anyone should continue to sit idly by and play by their rules (which will never work in our favor since the system is rigged). Why should the people be held to a higher standard than those who make the rules? Why should we continue to hold the moral ground when it has not succeeded in any meaningful change? This is such a b s way of thinking and the very type of thinking that keeps those in power, in power.

Yes. And we call those people butt crevasses and morons. And we tell them what horrible people they are for thinking like that. Do you want to be in that group? It appears many do and I frankly expected more from most members of this board.

Just when I think humans can't be worse than they are now, they sink to a new low.

I don’t want to live in a society where people are gunned down on the streets, corporate leaders make decisions that deny treatment and condemn people to death, elected officials undermine health and safety regulations, governments and industries conspire to jeopardize people, our environment, and our future to amplify profits. But we do live in that society and we have to recognize how all of these forces operate in concert with each other.

I’m not making a moral judgement that Thompson deserved to die, I’m acknowledging the relationship between actions and consequences within a purposely predatory system that constantly reminds us that morality isn’t part of the ledger sheet. There’s a mountain of inhumanity to consider before a bullet was ever fired and people haven’t reacted to that the way you think they should.

I get it. You are good with murder because they are bad guys. So anarchy it is. I'm down. I'm well armed.

You're not making that judgment, but several here clearly are and several have supported such statements.

But, again, I'm cool with it. We now live in a world where it's okay to kill people you think are evil and don't act like you want them to act. It's the state of nature and I will act accordingly.

What was your opinion of the world we lived in a week ago?

Bad. But I have now learned that many people that I thought were rational and good people support cold blooded murder if they think the person killed is evil or doesn't act right. So, my opinion is now that it is much worse than I thought.

And I didn't think we lived in the state of nature. But apparently we do. And if we do, all bets are off.

saying he deserved it and understanding why it happened and not having compassion for the victim is two different things.
i don't think he deserved it, but I'm pretty sure i know why it happened and don't have compassion for the victim.

i don't know if Jeffrey Doucet deserved it, but i still don't have any compassion for him and i understand why it happened.

Yes, they are two different things. But many here clearly are in the he deserved it and it should continue to happen to CEOs if they don't stop being evil group. I thought all reasonable people agreed that murder is bad no matter how bad the person killed is and that before you execute someone for being evil they deserve due process. But, maybe I'm naive and people have always not cared about justice no matter how often they talk about justice and equal rights for all.

It's hard to believe people live and work together all across the country and world and yet, at any given moment, it seems like one half of the people want to rip the other half's throat out and put their heads on spikes and vice versa.

It's very sad to see such anger and hurt in everyone these days. It's hard to watch😔
