UnitedHealth CEO shot (3 Viewers)

interestingly

The healthcare industry in this country needs a reckoning. It's killing people to save pennies on the dollar. Appalling.

just saw the CCTV footage- we getting into some Jason Bourne type shirt here.
The killer was super casual. Broad daylight, planned hit, methodical and calm when the weapon jams, silencer. Even points to the lady sipping coffee after shooting the guy to move on.

So crazy.

“Time to wake up. Please don’t freak out that your organs are sitting on top of your chest right now. Well put them back in at the end before we stitch you up”.

!

That's Buddha in your profile pic yes?
I've had it with the wealth & power addicts. Perhaps his death is the workings of Karma? People getting fed up with the status quo?

At any rate, none of us go to church, temple, mosque, synagogue etc because we are perfect. We go because we are flawed works in progress.

I was just talking to a friend and was like “I don’t condone it, but I understand it”. She thinks I’m horrible & is like “his family and children will suffer and the person who did it has ruined their life”.

I’m like well it’s hard to muster up sympathy when his decisions based on greed have resulted in many other people suffering and/or dying along with their families.

I guess I’m radical or whatever…

Just when you think this garbage health care system can't get any worse. I hope the oligarchs in charge of these companies run short on anesthesia for their knee replacements.

DoJ has an open investigation on the CEO. Insider trading and fraud.

Seems the shooter had experience. Methodical, planned hit. Gun jammed after shooting CEO in the back and he managed to calmy unjam and shot him a few more times while crawling away.

i suppose it's possible that Netflix is tired of waiting for stories to come to them and are now actively in the content generation game

Indeed we're all flawed. But rooting for more people (even health insurance CEOs) to get shot in the streets is sort of crazy.

Not saying I'm actively rooting for it, but I'm finding it very hard to work up much sympathy. He does not appear to be one of the good guys.

One can have sympathy for the dead CEO's family or his relatives. They didnt do plan UHC's controversial, hated insurance policies and premiums or have any role in their implementation. I can feel sorry for the shooter's family, too because now while he has a large amount of public sympathy who "understand, but don't support" his actions he won't be seeing his kids grow up while he's in prison and most times he'll see them, it will be in the visitors waiting room in whatever federal/state penitentiary they put him in to serve his life sentence.

It's not like health insurance CEO's are the only morally-bankrupt, greedy, selfish people who work in our whole economic apparatus sector. Down the road from where he was shot and killed, you have selfish, greedy and morally deficient stock traders, bondsmen, hedge fund managers, the CEO's of massive multi-national trading corporations, energy groups that have unlimited access and power to influential politicians, parties that rival, if not exceed what was available to this guy.

Where does it end?
