USA Today Ranks Dennis Allen Worst Head Coach in the League (2 Viewers)

ridiculous underserved hate. No way he is worse than Eberflus, Mayo, Daboll, Saleh, and all the other new coaches that haven't proven anything yet.
Until Allen makes a playoff push and has a winning record as a Saints HC, his tenure from the Raiders will still follow him.

Link?
I have yet to read the musings of any DA stan here
Are you serious? Plenty of posts - I’m not making the work for you - blaming PC, Marrone and everybody, while DA is a respected DC who knows his stuff, rah rah rah. You asking a link? 😂
DA is the guy who wanted these coaches in the first place. It’s nonsense to divert his share of blame

Wrong take, very probably, but still more accurate than the sunshine pumpers who suddenly blame everything on PC and all the other coaches DA himself retained. Disgusting.

Oh no! There are some optimistic fans who try to find the positives so they can still get some enjoyment out of something that’s just a pastime. Stop their madness!!

You’re starting with a conclusion (DA sunshine pumpers) and working your way back to an argument
It’s just that your premise does not exist (or is so rare as to be a unicorn)
There is no DA (head coach) stan who posts regularly on this board

Understood, but some seem to forget reality. Just be cautiously optimistic without making things up. A renewed effort, a change in trajectory, new players… altright, and I’m as excited as anybody. But changing the narrative on the last two years is just pathological. One doesn’t need to praise two bad seasons to be optimistic

If anybody is praising the last two seasons, they are in a small minority. I think the overwhelming majority of fans feel the disappointment and have doubts about Allen as a head coach.

I think you’re embellishing on that point.

But I do think there are positives. I think this staff has done a solid job bringing in talent. Can take time to fully realize the good and bad of that. I like the draft on the surface.

Allen is a good DC, so if Kubiak can get the offense turned around, there is reason to be optimistic. That doesn’t ignore that Allen has to improve as a head coach, and he might already be at his ceiling.

Wrong can still be “more accurate” than a total nonsense, you see
Lol, if he were ranked anywhere other than 32nd your logic would make sense. If he's not the worst coach in the league, to which you agree, then it can't possibly be "more accurate". It would actually be equally as inaccurate as the sunshine pumpers since they both represent extremes

The bottom 10 or so, you could draw their names out of a hat and the order wouldn’t matter.

I wouldn’t put McVay ahead of Tomlin.

Right now, it’s Andy Reid and then sort out the rest of a top half and a bottom half.
Agreed, my HC rankings looks something like:

Reid

Tomlin
McVay
Harbaugh
Shanahan
Payton (may a lil bias with this placement)

Ryans
Campbell
McDaniel
Taylor
McDermitt
Pederson

LeFluer
Stefanski
O'Connell
Sirianni
Quinn
McCarthy
Allen

Gannon
Quinn
Pierce
Bowles
Saleh
Daboll
Eberflus

These guys do not have enough experience and shouldn't be placed on any ranking list:
Mayo
Callahan
Canales
MacDonald
Morris
New Harbaugh (decade since in league)

No one is arguing Allen is a top 10 coach, but Ranking him last is beyond disrespectful.

Could be it be writers who monitor sites like SR and base their rankings on the chatter on such sites? Click bait as opposed to doing a decent and thorough job of ranking? Lotsa of negativity about DA out there, at least some of which I personally feel is likely undeserved, especially to the degree it often happens.

Not much I’d disagree with. I’d put Payton high, too.

Bowles and Allen have similar track records but Bowles has two winning seasons and he’s coming off a division title. I’d have to put him above Allen.

Bias may have also pushed Bowles down in my rankings too lol
