Just want to say that Berhalter is the 3rd worst US soccer coach this calendar year. I can’t believe the USSF is going to stand by and allow this guy to manage the ‘golden generation’ through most of their primes.

Another showing like this against Oman and the writing is on the wall if it wasn’t already. Moves need to be swift. Copa next summer and WC is under 3 years out.

I mostly want to congratulate those of you who find this later and didn’t have to sit through watching this.

The sense now is that there was never really a coaching search
That ussf had fully intended to reup greggg but had to put it all on hold when the Reyna mess (the stuff with his wife) popped up
Once he was cleared, they stuck with their initial plan
In theory I actually agree with that in that he should not have been canned over 20 year allegations
The dumb part was intending to resign him anyway
like most soccer organizations, ussf is shadyshady

Energy is perfect for a sub. Aaronson s is going to get as many minutes as he can handle at UB, but I don’t see him in the 11 outside of injuries. But I do like him as the super sub. And What Pepi gives up in pure skill and athleticism to Balo, he is constantly in the right place at the right time. That’s not by chance.

I still would like to see Balo and Pepi play together. No chance GGG makes that happen.

I think Weston and Aaronson will both be subs at Copa. Unless GGG still hasn’t talked to Gio by the .

I was out and about and checked at 70th min score. As I suspected. Didn't even see game, but can guess it was uninspired football.

Hallmark of Gregg Berhalter system.

Oman on 12th. If they eek out 1 goal vs Oman, and US Soccer isn't making calls, then there is something much deeper happening within US soccer that hasn't seen light of day....yet.

And I can't even begin to think what it could be. But whatever it is, has the whole thing in a nose dive. There is still time to pull up, but we are running out of altitude.

That's sort of what I was getting at. Lazy. Just felt like there was never any real effort to try and improve. I get there are some advantages to his strategy when you don't have a real consistent goal scorer, but it's not gonna win matches in the world cup. It will get them there, but that's about it.
