That's sort of what I was getting at. Lazy. Just felt like there was never any real effort to try and improve. I get there are some advantages to his strategy when you don't have a real consistent goal scorer, but it's not gonna win matches in the world cup. It will get them there, but that's about it.

Heads up for anyone wanting to watch some Berhalter Ball tonight, 730 vs Oman on TNT.

I assume itll be a unchanged attack, who plays the 10? Tillman seems like the only option if Berhalter isnt going to do something creative. Which he isnt.

I just hope he allows Balogun to find his way in the system and get chemistry with Pulisic and Weah. Im sure he will start Pepi and say that Balogun needs to get more minutes with a team he just joined in Ligue 1, which will lead to Berhalter leaving him off the next couple of rosters in favor of Ferreira.

Weston is opening up the attack with his long passing, so far he is the best player in the field. Tillman is just getting washed out centrally. But the energy is there. Kind of all over the place with shape in the final third.

Dest is such a different player with the NT than he is with his club teams.

I’d be perfectly ok with CP never taking another corner again. Reyna handled it better in Nations League, the 1 ball Aaronson sent in tonight was a chance. CP just doesn’t deliver a good ball in from the corner.

So I didn't see Uzbekistan game, but have to imagine this one is night and day. The movement, the energy and the finishing has all been really good tonite. I'm super happy to see this for the team. Needed this.

Agreed. It was a complete reversal. Aaronson and Pepi have both made themselves more valuable as supersubs than starters...Aaronson a bit more than Pepi. Theres not many players in the pool that can read the game like Pepi. He is always where he needs to be.

Thats sort of the odd thing about games where Balo starts and Pepi comes on. Players dont look for Balogun, they arent trying to get the ball into him. But Pepi - and maybe its because younger, less experienced players are on the field - they look to get him the ball.

The next window is Germany and Ghana. We will get a better idea next month.....and Gio should be available.
