USMNT - ‘23 and beyond (2 Viewers)

Man, its something to behold. Berhalter on Reyna "I acknowledge that there is work to do.......Theres work to do with Matt (Crocker) to rebuild that relationship" But then later said there had been no conversations ahead of time. It just seems like, you wouldve at least given Gio...something before this was "leaked" ahead of yesterdays game.

yep just watched the Gio clip. ( before you posted )

it was enough. As i listened, it was like he was saying " look im the manager, and while there is work to do here, im not the ONLY one who needs to work on this"

Zero contrite.

This is going to be an issue.

And wait til we drop 2-3 games in a row.

Next summer. Copa. Against an actual association with the teams you want to compete with. Things might go sideways for ole ggg.

first- the issue with the chant comes down from FIFA. Not US Soccer. FIFA.
Sure.
You right, we just see Cartels beheading folks, kidnapping US citizens, trafficking migrants for $1000s they dont have.... ;)

If we are going to go that route: there wouldn't be cartels in MX if it weren't for the U.S.' appetite for getting high; the beheadings and shootings happen among people in the drug trade. The kidnappings, if you are referring to the 4 who allegedly drove an old van from NC so a woman can get a cheap tummy tuck, there's more to it that meets the eye. There are traffickers and people who exploit migrants on both sides of the border; and there wouldn't be that many immigrants (who btw if it weren't .

And, I'll add, what happened in 2015, didn't help either.

And look, sure, there are places in MX that are hell holes, where crime is rampant and cartels rule; MX is at an all time high in murders and disappearances... but that said, this chant thing is getting tiresome, kind of feels like bountygate, pointing a finger at MX for being "homophobic", when there are countries making laws against LGBTQ+ groups; FIFA didn't sanction Qatar not only for homophobia but for slavery, yet they gave them a WC.

There are some whisperings (probably just hopeful rationalization) that Copa is his actual timetable- that Crocker will be able to learn the ins and outs by then and be better able to make a more informed decision

Maybe
It still seems more like it was always going to be ggg and all the Gio stuff created the need for a smokescreen

Let’s agree that like many countries neither Mexico nor the US have the moral authority to point fingers at the other

Sure, but I am talking specifically about singling out a country for a word (that isn't that offensive in Spanish to begin with) and making such a big deal of it. It feels like the soccer version of bountygate.

Second time...We aren't. FIFA is.

And we want the game to be played. Not abandoned because Mexican fans can't seem to get it. Either stop the chant or stop the game.

at some point Mexico FA needs to address it to keep the aura of game stoppages out of the players minds. It's not fair for either side really.

The effort USSF put into creating the illusion of a coaching search took more effort than actually conducting a coaching search.

I’m pretty sure they just took something from Apple’s last iPhone development and quality control program PowerPoint and changed the word iPhone to soccer.

Yeah they’re starting to **** me off
(I know you’re well past this stage)
But they just needed to keep to ‘coach speak’ - we did what’s best for the team blah blah trusting the squad he’s put together blah blah -
But to actually come with an ex post facto con job is just too insulting

It's like they are running the con in reverse. Been had, NOW we gonna tell you about it.

US soccer is infected. We had discussions waaay back about this. There was another poster here that brought many links to light about the innards of US Soccer.

Winning tends to keep things quiet. Losing brings them to light.

Idk what to think at this point as to where this while program is currently. But it makes me sick that I gotta accept it to root on my country.
