She did not get it wrong. She announced it appropriately according to the FBI's guidelines. There are certain things that have to be established and confirmed before the FBI, or any agency can say it was a terrorist attack. As pointed out yesterday.She said, and I quote, "This is not a terrorist event." She announced prematurely that it was not terrorism. She didn't wait to declare or classify anything accurately. She got it 100% wrong, and did so prematurely. She made a mistake, or was given bad information, but let's not act like she and/or the FBI had all her/their ducks in a row.
That first PC was only a few hours after the event, if that, while evidence was still being gathered.
