Well, Let's get Ben Johnson as HC and a QB with a top 2 pick in the Draft (10 Viewers)

We aren't even coming close to the playoffs. Even if somehow we win 6 of the last 9 games, that only puts us at 8 and 9. We'd likely have to win 8 of the last 9 to even have a shot at the playoffs. That's not happening.

We need to keep DA for the remainder of the season because he stinks and that'll almost guarantee a higher draft pick. We then need to hire Ben Johnson and, assuming we only win 1 or 2 more games this season (or none), we'll have a top-2 pick in the draft. Draft Shedeur Sanders or Quin Ewers - both are elite, special QBs. Let's start from scratch on offense.

Just my hopeful opinion halfway through this embarrassing season.
Quinn Ewers is not elite not even close. Think if someone is goin to be disappointed thinking they getting a super elite talent when he really more above average to good from what I’ve seen. Carson Beck is probably the best. This QB draft is not very strong form what i see. Shedeur can be good but I can see struggles with him too. Loves to hold the ball way too long and don’t even have the foot speed of Jayden Daniels or a Mike Vick to do that.

4 of the 6 QBs taken in the first this past season was from the Pac-12 and ACC...lol
Here's a good exercise.

Lets look at the success of 1st year coaches who got a chance to draft a QB in their 1st year, over the last 5 years. Check their win/loss record etc.

Sanders will be a head case. He plays against mediocre talent. Put him in different division and they would eat his lunch.
With all do respect how is he a head case. Maybe shows just a little bit of cockiness but that’s a trait of a person who believes they are the best. Other than that kid hasn’t been any trouble. Also this kid has played in FCS and FBS with less talented roster and had success at every single level. Put him on equal playing ground with equal supporting surrounding cast and he certainly can compete. May not be the best but he is among them.

Nah, if we are being honest, the only reason Shadeur gets hate is because of his dad. He is a much better passer than most who were drafted this season.
I think people haven't watched him and guess he's a running QB.

Quinn Ewers has no business being a first round pick let alone a top one.

I have nothing against sanders but want no part of that clown show with his dad.
No worries, I'm sure the feeling is mutual he wouldn't want to be a part of this clown show. They will do an Archie and get him to a organization with a better reputation than us.

The highest percentage of drafting a starter in the NFL draft comes from the first three rounds.

The Saints legendary 2017 draft class:
1st Round - Marshon Lattimore
1st Round - Ryan Ramcyzk
2nd Round - Marcus Williams
3rd Round - Alvin Kamara
3rd Round - Alex Anzalone
3rd Round - Trey Hendrickson
6th Round - Al-Quadin Muhammad

Notice a theme there? Coincidentally the 2017 draft class was the last time the Saints had more than three picks in the first three rounds, and since 2017 the Saints average 2.4 picks in the first three rounds per draft. Meaning they're trading away picks with the highest percentage of becoming a starter more than they're acquiring them.

I think the team is much better off getting blue chip prospects on the lines or even a playmaker WR like TMac.

I’m sure you can agree that this team has a laundry list of issues beyond QB. I’d rather personally get one in a better class in 2026.

It’s long past time for Mickey to go but I fear he’s completely unaccountable right now.

If we keep “doing what we’re doing” it won’t matter if we have a top 5 pick or not. Allen is awful but I am feeling more and more he’s a symptom.

I'd take a QB that's over 6'4 and can run for first downs. . . Just like Herbert, is that so much to ask for. It's gotta be fun being a Chargers fan, great defense, great QB, a few runningbacks. Really good Kicker, jealous I am, we are hurting.

It may not be the most popular opinion around here, but I think Kubiak should be evaluated and considered to be the next head coach.

I am still impressed with his staff. I think he can turn around the offense and will be interesting to hear his possible options to run the defence.

We will have a season long job interview with him, nothing to throw out just because we are seeking for new.
