I’d rather have Travis Hunter, Tmac, or the best offensive lineman over a QB if we pick in the top 5. I’m not ready to give up on Haener and Rattler just yet. They’ve just been put in an impossible situation.

BingoI think people haven't watched him and guess he's a running QB.
I understand the thought, and yet History is not kind to QB's selected outside of the 1st round. We have 2 on the roster taken in the 4th and 5th respectively. The Tom Brady's, Brock Purdy's and Russell Wilson's are rare. The best QB's typically have 1st round pedigreeI’d rather have Travis Hunter, Tmac, or the best offensive lineman over a QB if we pick in the top 5. There are a lot of first round misses too though. I’d rather draft a less volatile position(WR/OT) and see a full year of Haener/Rattler before rolling the dice again.I understand the thought, and yet History is not kind to QB's selected outside of the 1st round. You're right, there's tons of 1st round misses, but there are still more 1st round hits than there are guys taken after that. So again, your best odds are to select an early round talent. I understand your thought, don't disagree w/ it - I've just seen enough. Neither are talented enough to carry a team, and if were going to get back to perennial winning we need someone w/ the talent and or potential to be that. There are a lot of first round misses too though. Really really don’t like this years QBs, draft a cornerstone oline or dline piece like Campbell at left tackle or WR McMillan from Arizona or DT Mason Graham from Michigan or defensive end James Pearce Tennessee
Bo Nix is more than likely going to be October offensive rookie of the monthThank you for proving my point. Who's running away with the ROY. Just saying. I'm not saying he won't get drafted or he will be a bust... BUT NO QB THIS YEAR IS WORTH TOP 5
In what world..... But also not a top 5 or top 10 pick.... Again thanks for proving my point.Bo Nix is more than likely going to be October offensive rookie of the month
Keep DA, tank next year and draft Arch Manning. That is doable with DA as HCSanders will be a head case. He plays against mediocre talent. Put him in different division and they would eat his lunch.
It almost was MaHommes had Reid not pulled the great stealThe highest percentage of drafting a starter in the NFL draft comes from the first three rounds.
The Saints legendary 2017 draft class:
1st Round - Marshon Lattimore
1st Round - Ryan Ramcyzk
2nd Round - Marcus Williams
3rd Round - Alvin Kamara
3rd Round - Alex Anzalone
3rd Round - Trey Hendrickson
6th Round - Al-Quadin Muhammad
Notice a theme there? Coincidentally the 2017 draft class was the last time the Saints had more than three picks in the first three rounds, and since 2017 the Saints average 2.4 picks in the first three rounds per draft. Meaning they're trading away picks with the highest percentage of becoming a starter more than they're acquiring them.
This will be way controversial but I'm not sold on Arch. Blood line no question but .. there something off maybe he just needs more time and he won't be coming out next year maybe 2 years ...Keep DA, tank next year and draft Arch Manning. That is doable with DA as HC
If the Saints were to draft or even show interest in Sanders the league would have another ELI/Chargers situation. (Deon has a history of hating all things Saints)We aren't even coming close to the playoffs. Even if somehow we win 6 of the last 9 games, that only puts us at 8 and 9. We'd likely have to win 8 of the last 9 to even have a shot at the playoffs. That's not happening.
We need to keep DA for the remainder of the season because he stinks and that'll almost guarantee a higher draft pick. We then need to hire Ben Johnson and, assuming we only win 1 or 2 more games this season (or none), we'll have a top-2 pick in the draft. Draft Shedeur Sanders or Quin Ewers - both are elite, special QBs. Let's start from scratch on offense.
Just my hopeful opinion halfway through this embarrassing season.
