Well, Let's get Ben Johnson as HC and a QB with a top 2 pick in the Draft (8 Viewers)

With all do respect how is he a head case. Maybe shows just a little bit of cockiness but that’s a trait of a person who believes they are the best. Other than that kid hasn’t been any trouble. Also this kid has played in FCS and FBS with less talented roster and had success at every single level. Put him on equal playing ground with equal supporting surrounding cast and he certainly can compete. May not be the best but he is among them.
Just look at who his dad is.

I understand the thought, and yet History is not kind to QB's selected outside of the 1st round. We have 2 on the roster taken in the 4th and 5th respectively. The Tom Brady's, Brock Purdy's and Russell Wilson's are rare. The best QB's typically have 1st round pedigree
And it seems 3/4's of them shouldn't have been drafted in the first.

I think the team is much better off getting blue chip prospects on the lines or even a playmaker WR like TMac.

I’m sure you can agree that this team has a laundry list of issues beyond QB. I’d rather personally get one in a better class in 2026.
We need a blue chip at every level of the defense but I do not trust the current regime to evaluate any prospects except for DBs, maybe.

Just look at who his dad is.
You mean one of the greatest athletes ever, one of the few guys to excel in two pro sports, and has his team on the path to a bowl berth after not getting to a bowl in 10 years. A lot of you guys give off a lot of shut-up and dribble energy.

Preach!!

Nah, if we are being honest, the only reason Shadeur gets hate is because of his dad. He is a much better passer than most who were drafted this season.
He's an elitist primadonna that throws his teammates under the bus. The last QB taken in the 1st rd was Nix and he was Heisman runner up, Shadeur is not even in the conversation. I would take every one of those drate in the 1st rd including Nix over him

I really like McMillan. He's everything missing from this offense. He strikes me as a potential Michael Thomas, the kind of receiver that makes bad QBs look good because no pass is a bad pass if he's the target.
Oh yeah, he screams Mike Evans to me. He’s what we don’t have, that giant jump ball guy who is also extremely agile.

Have you seen him throw? He is athletic, has high football IQ, but his arm talent is below rattlers

Same, do NOT want sanders.

Shadeur is still a better passer than Bo Nix and I saw Bo Nix in both high school and his years at Auburn. Also, Penix was Heisman runner up, who was actually the best passer in the draft, who had nearly 1000 more votes than Nix.
Most folks don't like him for stuff off the field but what I'm talking about is actual QB play.

I don't like him for his actual QB play. I have no idea who he is as a person. But as a QB, he isn't elite at anything but he's solid to good at most things. But, given the coaching he has had since he was a kid, he's about at his ceiling. Which doesn't bode well for him in the NFL.

When you look at him throwing the ball, that tells the story. This is not directed at you at all, but there are a lot of people out there who equate playing out of structure to being elite. Everybody raved about Williams and Maye playing out of structure, but when you look at actual quarterbacking, Penix was better than both. When I look at Shaduer, from playing within the pocket and ball placement, there isn't a lot better. There are some things that he needs to work on (footwork comes to mind but in this day and age where everyone runs out of shotgun...eh) but he can ball. Sometimes, it all in a name. If the QB at Texas name was Arch McMillan, nobody would be hyping him up the way that he is...lol.

I agree that an NFL QB first has to play in structure and be elite in structure. But I think NFL DEs and DTs are not so fast and OLs are so bad that to be truly elite you have to be able to play outside of structure and I don't think he's particularly good at that. I think he's a good college QB but I just don't see a lot of upside. When I watch him play I just don't see that "it factor" that you often see in college QBs that make it in the pros and I don't see anything he does that is elite. Seems like a Derek Carr to me. But, hey, I could be wrong.

I do kind of wonder how bad he wants it because he grew up with everything anyone could ever want and has only ever played on teams coached by his dad. I'm not sure if that allowed him the leadership skills, work ethic, and ability to work with coaches that is necessary for every college QB to make it in the pros. But, I don't know him. Maybe he has all those things.

As far as Arch Manning. He's got a lot to prove and I wonder about his upside for some of the same reasons I wonder about Sanders.

Yes, he can make all the throws. Not sure what you're talking about.
