What’s your take on this offensive lineup?

I would feel a lot better if we could run JJ or Warren as an X receiver and keep Moreau as TE2. I think people are largely forgetting that Warren’s main appeal is his versatility, so he could play a lot of WR snaps Evan Engram style or even take RB snaps. Combining him with a healthy Taysom would be deadly imo.

I think we draft a RB mid rounds maybe Sampson from Tenn as a 4th rounder.

QB Carr
HB Kamara/Sampson/Miller/Edwards-Helaire/
TE Johnson/Taysom Hill
LT Conerly
LG Penning - changed from RT
C McCoy
RG Ruiz
RT Fuaga - changed from LT
WR McMillian/Olave/Shaheed/Cooks/Means/Pettis

Draft picks in bold. McMillian in 1st, Conerly in 2nd, Sampson in 4th.
I like this outside of Sampson. He’s a super weird player bc of how undersized he is but he was mainly used as a power back. If he was more speedy like Achane I could see him working out in the NFL but so many Tennessee games were just Sampson slogging out yards. He has a certain amount of clutch factor but I’d be much more comfortable taking a different back at 4th considering how loaded the class is.

Warren would really open the offense. The weakest group is RB, after AK a big drop in talent, we need a complimentary rb to add to the mix.

Chuckles, didn’t mean that at all. Was asking because the Saints had a trade w/ the Rams queued up had Bowers fallen to them.

If they weren’t going to draft Bowers, who arguably had the look of a generation prospect last year at 14, then I’d say the chances are slim that they’ll take a lesser TE prospect at 9

I don’t get the impression they value TEs like
So you’re saying exactly what I was saying… or what am I missing here? I said you were gonna use Brock and his draft position and a means against drafting Warren this year, saints could have been trading back to 20, maybe we had 20 first round grades, maybe this year we only have 5. Every single year the draft and value is different.

I kind of get the logic behind what you’re saying but I don’t think it applies here. Plus it’s already been stated on here that the saints are extremely high on Warren and he’s a serious possibility at 9.
