Ok, who actually voted that Drew Brees is the most cringe worthy player on the roster?

Oh, wait...stupid question. Gotta be Saintsnizzle.

edit: looks like it was DJ1BigTymer - - - DJ, Brees makes you cringe?

I didn't choose, bc mine is 33.3/33.3/33.3: Brees/OL/FG Kicker.

I cringe every time Brees takes a snap, and it gets worse when we go into the 4th qtr, or we need to rally back etc. Normal game anxieties, coupled with the history of interceptions etc. But, mostly it's when he takes the snap and drop back...so I guess that would mean the Offensive Line deserves some blame as well. It's the only time I get the butt-pucker factor going, until we are about to kick a field goal.

So that's about three different areas, in a game, that I get either a knot in my stomach or a pucker going.:hihi:

1) whoever lines up opposite Jordan at DE
2) Whoever lines up opposite Cooks at Wr
3) Whoever lines up on either side of Unger
4) whoever lines up to place kick
5)whoever is on the roster currently and is expected to replace Brees
6) Ingram's backups

Get ready for a 3 way kicker battle with a winner we already know is the one we want in Roberto Aguayo or Ka'iminoeauloameka'ikeokekumupa'a Fairbairn.

Good. Lord. I swear I thought you just beat the hell outta your keyboard.....but that's his real name. I'm blown away right now

Lol. This is the kinda thing I'm talking about Shiz. We are perennially One of the best offenses and one of the worst defenses. Yet none of your "cringe-worthy" players are on defense. Longest running troll award goes to you bro

Stop with that nonsense. We were all here watching the games together the past years. We get mentioned up there statistically, but we know the truth, we see it. Those numbers came in garbage time at the end of games when they were lost already, end of the year when teams weren't worried about us etc. Just go rewatch the first 12 games, go watch us at 0-3, 4-7/5-7...and look at how the defense was trying to keep us in games, when we were throwing them away offensively. No need to even discuss that anymore.

We all get that upset feeling in those instances, but we have killed the defense in here already, and we know that we have never been a good defensive team. But the defense came alive last year, regardless of the stats. If this was two years ago, I would have added in that I cringe when the opposing QB drops back to.pass. But Breaux, Anthony, Kikaha, and really, Browner helped relieve some of that last year. Even with Browners penalties, we didn't see folks throwing for TDs on us like we were used to seeing. At the end, Browner created some cringe, just for penalty sakes...but it stopped a lot of flying TDs that we were used to seeing.

I'm sorry but the Oline/Brees snaps, and when he sits in the pocket, creates angst that, well hell, even my buddies now are conditioned to say, "Oh ****, please Brees don't **** this up!" "Run dammit, don't take that sack.."

That's what makes me cringe...all day.

What are you talking about!?!? We literally set the record for TD passes allowed last season!! did you even watch us play last year? There was a game where Brees HAD to throw 7 touchdowns because our defense gave up 6. Good grief

i'm just going to generically say "pass rush/qb pressure"
if we got that fixed, it seems most everything else would fall into place

That was against New York, who statistically had a worse defense than ours, when we played them, go research it. We weren't throwing 7 TDs on real teams like that, and a lot of the TDs came in garbage time, as you well know. Teams were done, resting starters and playing Marty ball, here we come with stats...lol. We did this the year prior also.

What makes you Cringe? Let me guess, it was Rob Ryan, right?

LOL at everyone thinking that kicker is an enormous problem but not wanting to actually address the problem with the draft pick necessary to get one of the best kicking prospects in recent history.

Brees got sacked on 4.7% of dropbacks last season. Newton 6.2%. Wilson 8.5%.
So would you cringe more for those guys?

Cam and Russell do attempt to run out of the pocket more often...so not quite apples to apples. A better comparison would be other pocket QBs.
