I will have to give the rep thing a try...won't poop on anyones parade...only give positive if its worthy...then again if I'm drunk I can't promise anything.

The rep meter will, more then likely, just be a popularly contest. Andrus will get roughly a billion rep points even though he rarely posts for example. Not that Andrus isn't super awesome or anything, not my point, just the people who will get "rep" will be the ones people know and personnally like.

I'd like to see how it pans out after a few days/weeks. I think if anything it will show posters that well thought out threads are more appreciated than the inane "WHEN IS DEVERY PLAYING IM TOO LAZY OT USE TEH SEARCH BUTTON LOL!!1111" posts. There has been a lot of traffic on the site lately and if we can take out some of the pointless filler, good threads will continue to stay at the top instead of being bumped out by crappy ones.

Sorry for all of the questions -- I am just trying to get a feel for all of this

If you rep someone else -- do they get more power on your rep based on your current reputation level -- or is it consistent among all.

Also -- I like the fact that you do not list the names of who gave you the rep in user CP. Listing names will often lead to quid pro quo which defeats the purpose of the posting.

I know you limit the number of times you can rep during one day -- but how about to the same person. If you like their posts in 2 threads is there some sort of counter that limits this kind of thing.
