What we accomplished today (3 Viewers)

A few draft spots can be the difference between a generational player or just a solid contributor.
Everybody said that in the 2015 draft:

“Saints won for nothing! Gave Tampa the top pick!”

Jameis Winston (said top pick) is a Saint now and the six selections immediately prior to the Saints’ pick (Andrus Peat) are all out of football

Scouting college players is such an inexact science that it makes the draft a 50/50 proposition at best even high in the first round. Generational players get picked in late rounds all the time and busts get picked in the top 10 all the time. It all comes down to how good your scouting is and how you develop the players you pick. And if you are 5 or 6 picks from a guy you think is a generation talent, you can always trade up. 5 or 6 spots one way or the other doesn't really make that much difference.

He was coming back no matter what. I remember beating the Falcons was our SB each year.
Go be a Falcons fan and enjoy their top pick and new coach.
You have no clue whether that’s the case or not. Who cares about 20+ years ago? I remember when we were perennial playoff contenders. Wasn’t that long ago either.

I will tell you this, Tampa is going to get bounced. The Mayfield magic is gone.

Killing Atlanta, saving Allen's job, missing playoffs, dropping their draft pick to 15-16, ensuring Atlanta fires their coach, and giving them a top 10 pick.
It’s ok, losing to Atlanta is never ok.

And unless we lost by 50 DA was coming back regardless.

It’s been a disastrous 2 weeks for this franchise. 2 completely meaningless wins that secure another season of this garbage head coach.

I don’t understand the sudden switch up from some of our fans on social media either and the change in narrative. There is really nothing to celebrate about this win, whether people want to hear that or not.
Yup.

Also went from a top 10 pick to.... 15?

They already announced he was coming back. The last two weeks several sources reported it. Your dream of Allen being fired wasn’t going to happen. I will say this win does make PC a possibility which I’m not happy about. However, if todays offense would have been around earlier this season we would have been easily in the play offs.
