What you watching? - Quarantine Edition (1 Viewer)

Finally got around to Yellowjackets....wow, very intense....Too intense for the wife, she won't watch it.....

Anyone else watching Earth Abides?
pretty good show, limited Series 6 episodes (what we used to call a Mini Series ) so don't have to worry about Cliff Hanger I'm assuming.
Post Apocalyptic/pandemic.
Steven King has said he used this book as one of his inspirations for The Stand.
After watching the first couple episodes, i can see that (without the good vs evil plotline).
I enjoyed that series but 1 thing bugged the :poop: outta me throughout the series and that began in the very 1st episode:
It was killing me seeing Ish drive all over California with his infinite fuel supply! Dude made a round trip from San Francisco to Vegas during the 1st episode in a giant Nissan Pathfinder without ever once siphoning for fuel. They were still operating vehicles 20+ years later, where did that fuel come from?

i would assume he wouldn't have had much problem finding an endless supply of vehicles to get gas from.
i take it as the same as showing people going to the bathroom, its just implied they are.
but like much of the show, they don't into detail about many things, like the virus for example.
they do make reference to trading fuel, so i would assume they found a way to refine it or certain additive to store it
another detail i did notice in the beginning was when he was in his coma or whatever, if i remember correctly he woke up multiple times and drank water then passed back out. which was nice since you see so many times in movies/shows where they couldn't possibly be in a coma for weeks without water.
but as far as the lack of details, its what kept the show able to move forward for the 25+ (technically 50) years so quickly.
they probably could have done a couple more episodes, but if the wrong person got a hold of it, they could have streached it out for multiple seasons easily.

I started watching it recently as well now that Netflix has season 1.

You should get a laugh out of this. I’ve said at least a half dozen times now, “why are they only hunting, why isn’t anyone fishing that lake?”

Haha, I'm only on episode 3 but I'm sure that is exactly how I will feel as well....Cheers

Yellowjackets was one of the few shows that I have gotten my wife on board with...
I think she enjoyed the 90s style toss-backs--esp the music (I know I did)
How long has it been since S2?? It feels like I don't recall hardly anything!

Just FYI, American Primeval is great and intense AF...

I’m enjoying it so far. But I wish they’d give me a reason for why this guy cares about the mom and boy. They touch on it I guess with his past but I’d like to know more about his motivation. Supposing they’ll tell me when they’re ready.
