Will Smith goes on stage at the Oscars and hits Chris Rock then verbally threatens him from his seat (1 Viewer)

It is not going to go "either way" if the event is in company premises or promoted as a company party.
Idk, I've seen it happen, guy smacked another guy at a Christmas party. Next day, both showed up for work as if nothing happened.

But that's probably not what usually happens. Lol. People are weird sometimes.

sorry, i don't feel sorry for Will Smith, i don't have any pity for him. also, i doubt this will have any impact on me watching any of his movies in the future.
but he learned the hard way that sometimes, actions have consequences. he went from being the golden child in Hollywood to being the A hole overnight.

Are you less likely to see a Will Smith movie now than before the slap?

That would be more comparable to slapping him at an Oscars after party, which probably once again would have just been tabloid fodder.

The fact that this was on air made it more akin to slapping a coworker at a meeting in front of clients. That would be a more accurate comparison to what what happened than a Christmas party.

That being said anywhere I’ve worked the Christmas party slap gets you fired. I can’t imagine someone maintaining employment after that anywhere in the white collar world. Heck, I’ve seen folks fired for a lot less aggressive behavior toward coworkers.

Indeed.

Yeah, but this is Hollywood and you have to let Moe and Curly do their thing to a degree. It’s art.

Did you not watch them before and now will continue to not watch them
Or
Did you watch them and will continue to watch them?
i have seen a lot of his movies probably 1/2 of them. i don't go out of my way to watch a Will Smith movie, if it's a movie that i have interest in, I'll watch.
if the next movie he makes looks good to me, I'll watch it .

the apology is great, but no. you're famous bud. for everyone else, even in normal, day-to-day, stuff, this sheet wouldn't fly no matter your status. you can't just assault a person and apologise and that's that.

come on. we know your brain is foggy and would make it difficult to acknowledge during an acceptance speech, blah blah blah, but none of that has anything to do with the actual slap. getting out of your seat, walking towards the stage, taking a few steps after, and hitting a person, well, foggy just don't cover that sheet.

look, nothing short of chris rock saying that it was a prank, post-oscars anything means squat. you are literally just prepping for a comeback out of crisis tour.

Nothing will make it ok.

There's probably industry pressure on Chris Rock to publicly accept an apology so that Smith can go back to making piles of money for rich people.

Doing so would be meaningless. He can't be unslapped.

Break a window.

Apologize to it.

How is that window?
