With the 9th Pick in the 2025 draft, who should the Saints select? (merged) (14 Viewers)

Really? I mean his stats were low but he was breaking like 4-5 tackles for 3 yard gains, his oline let him down. IMO and he still looked insane

Agreed, Penn St. sold out to stop him and they did. If Boise St. had any kind of line or other weapons, he would have looked more like himself even though breaking a ton of tackles is what he does.

He's going to make DBs and many LBs make business decisions in the NFL.

If Tet, Graham, Carter are all gone by 10 I have 0 issue with Jeanty. Then in the second you grab a stud guard and the saints could start to build a new identity. I know running backs are easy to replace, but Jeanty is special.

I mean he’s the best RB to come out since Saquon or am I forgetting someone?
With AK onboard for 2 more yrs and we still don't know exactly what we have in Miller Jeanty may be looking ahead a bit much. I think AK is good for at least 2 more yrs , maybe not at the usage rate he was this yr but 20-25 touches a game. And I wnt to see what Miller has before I invest the #10 pick on a RB.

If Graham or T-Mac are gone I hope we trade down and pick up a 2nd

Yup and draft Ty Warren with the other 1st rounder. Truth be told no matter what the Saints need an extra 2nd rounder, not getting one is not an option.

What about free agency before the draft?

What about in the 2026 free agency period or the draft?

2027?

We aren’t drafting just for 2025, and I am not sure why people are expecting some major OL reconstruction; we only have one starting spot open.
The thing with the OL is we don't know who will be the OC next yr and if we'll still be more of a wide zone running offense. If so then it's the athletic type of OL we'll need AND that type of scheme you don't need great O lineman except maybe a great LT. But we do need an upgrade @ RG and LG
I think maybe the way to go is up[grade those two positions and make Ruiz a backup C and swing G since it seems that McCoy can't stay healthy lately

That's nuts, yet he's "not that good", lol.
Kendre miller can do that if you ask some here lmao it’s ridiculous we have no playmakers let’s grab a oline so we can hand it off to ole kamara/ slow as dirt or throw it to our no route running receivers and watch them get blasted off the field
Take the home blinders off we can’t afford to just draft o line men and hope the develop we need players who we know what they do and they do it well

No oline worth it at pick 10 but a ton in round 2

I agree I don’t want a oline man at all in its 3rd rd or down it’s time to invest in the skill positions
Rb and tight end on offense lb/safety on defense maybe a nose tackle

Tyler Warren TE Penn State. He’s the third best receiver in this class. Has gadget ability. And he looks like a Tony Gonzalez out there.

Saints would never draft a TE that high but i can dream.

Irv Smith is the only 1st round TE in Saints history.
