World Cup 2022 - Qatar (with SR Pick'Em league) (1 Viewer)

Wahl had gotten sick while on assignment in Qatar. On Monday he had written he'd visited a medical clinic and the staff believed he had bronchitis.

"My body finally broke down on me," Wahl wrote. "Three weeks of little sleep, high stress and lots of work can do that to you ... What had been a cold over the last 10 days turned into something more severe on the night of the USA-Netherlands game, and I could feel my upper chest take on a new level of pressure and discomfort." He said he'd been taking antibiotics and they appeared to be helping.

So sad.

I think his wife is also some sort of infectious disease doctor. Crazy.

Sure hope what he had isn't a resurgence or variant of MERS. last thing world needs is another pandemic threat.

I'm sure Qatar officials have a perfectly rational explanation on how a 40 year old man just suddenly drops dead after being involved in a controversy days after the world cup opened and made national news. /sarcasm.

Prima DRonaldo benched against Morocco. Will enjoy the shots of his pouty doucebaggy face that are sure to be many.
If he is even on the bench.

All this drama confirmed for me what happened at Manchester United. His ego is simply too big and he refuses to acknowledge that his best days are behind him. His liabilities outweigh his assets at this point in his career, but he refuses to acknowledge.

He created havoc at United when ETH benched him for his play, did a "tell all" interview with Peirs Morgan to control the narrative, and yet his own National Team coach does exact same thing.

Signs a 500,000,000 deal to play 2.5 years in Saudi Arabia, so he got what he wanted.

just being complete, he didn’t just suddenly drop dead with no other medical history. He posted four days before he died (in guido’s post above):

But it certainly needs to be fully investigated by an American medical examiner. Perhaps we can get a military coroner from a base over there to do it. Simply letting local authorities handle it is unacceptable.

This round of 8 is ridiculous
Man, Portugal was all over the officials at the end of the half. That was close to a PK late.

That big kick that hit the crossbar was a heck of a shot. A few inches lower and that's a goal. A few other good looks. They get some of those looks again in the 2nd half, I think they get a goal or two. I'm not really pulling for one or the other, but it's still a fun match to watch.

I saw this interview once, I think it was before the Ballon D'Or ceremony, it was Ronaldo, Messi, and someone else, don't remember who, together. The interviewer asked all 3 who they thought was the GOAT. I remember Messi mentioning Maradona and Pelé; the other guy mentioned them too and someone else... Ronaldo said "me". Douchebag.
