How is it that this guy had a whole press conference held for him and these are the only quotes that came out of it?

Looks like they’re highlighting a key quote of him wanting to be a Saint. Fans think no one wants to be here yet we have a key depth guy that’s attracted to the scheme fit in the new OC’s offense. He’ll be one of many additions who’ll be interested in signing because of scheme
Cedrick Wilson signed a two year, $5.75 million contract with the Saints. $2.85 million is guaranteed.
OTC has his contract as follows
Cedrick Wilson Jr. Contract Details, Salary Cap Charges, Bonus Money, and Contract History | Over The Cap

I think the 500K void year was added so that Wilson could have a lower cap hit in year 1 at 1.85M. Without it, 2024 cap hit would probably be around 2.85M. Pushing the 1M gives the team more cap flexibility this year.Wow, what a bargain.
We are really getting a lot of bang for our buck here potentially. Outstanding find by the brain trust on Airline Dr.
Very interesting that we pushed the additional money into the future with a void year on such a cheap deal.
He never attempted a pass with the Dolphins, but attempted five in two seasons with Dallas.Yes!! I thought I had seen him do that with the Dolphins. Maybe the Saints can make that part of the offensive play book. I'm anxious to see how he fits into Kubiak's offensive scheme.
His guarantees looks like he’s entrenched on the WR depth chart as of now. Olave/Shaheed/Perry/Wilson looks to be the WR roster locks. Next significant WR addition will probably be a draft pick or another cheaper FA vet like Renfrow.
I fully expect him to be the next Johnny Holton!
It's interesting because I figured Renfrow was a near lock signing as soon as released but there isn't a ton of room on this depth chart.
He comes in and he's fighting for #3 or would need either an injury to Olave/Shaheed or total absence of viable TE play to get lots of touches.
I’m starting to believe much of the sudden fan interest in Renfrow is so those same people can kvetch about DA wanting former Raiders too much to be a competent HCWhere does Renfrow fit in a Shanahan/Kubiak style offense? I'm not sure he fits the new scheme.
