Young couple goes on van tour of US, boy comes back with van - no girl (1 Viewer)

Yeah, but at this point, nobody's falling for "closing in". Sure, they know more than what they're saying, which was my point, but I thought they were "closing in" 2 weeks ago and would have had him then.

What do you mean "falling for"? I'm saying if they think they are close to him, they are probably not going to be talking much. Who knows if that's true or not, but we definitely don't know what they know or where they are focused right now.

I still believe they are at a loss as to his location and until the parents speak up, they will be lucky to stumble on him. Hope I'm wrong though.

I know you don't think I'm that dense ... or do you? Nothing you've said here is revelatory. The public interest is waning, the "leads" so far have been debunked (as far as we know), they've searched the same reserve -- admittedly HUGE -- for days and days and days, and this is now going on almost a month since her body was found. I'm saying if they would like the subject or the public to believe they're still "closing in", they look like they're coming from a pretty weak position at this point. We still have people SERIOUSLY believing that Brian is a Moab Serial Killer who was on a murder spree the whole way from Moab, UT up to Jackson Hole, WY.

The last thing you are is dense 😁 - I’m simply saying the feds typically don’t say anything in public unless they think it will aid the investigation.

Yeah, I get that. And especially in the beginning. But I bet they didn't think it'd be taking them this long to find a vegan, non-plastic-water-bottle-drinking twerp like Brian. And it's not like I think they should lay out the whole breadth of what they have so far ..... but SOMETHING concrete. The public keeps asking questions like, Why haven't they thought to do this or do that. Like, yeah, people, they surely didn't think of that.

He's been "missing" for about a month now. How long could he exist in the swamp on his own, drinking swamp water, eating bugs and berries? In my mind there are two possiblities....He's dead (probably lunch for a gator) or he is not in the swamp but living relatively comfortable either in a more hospitable part of the country or holed up in a hideout somewhere (camp, boat, etc.).

Or Peru.

Dead and eaten seems like a distinct possibility, I just wonder how easily it would be completely disappear in that scenario - like without a trace.

I'm wondering if easing up the pressure is better. The ole Col Trautman strategy which was ignored. Let him be comfortable. If he comes out of hiding, he'll be found. Otherwise he's in a special jail where we don't pay for his room and board.

I have little doubt his parents sent him off somewhere to hide and told police he was out camping to throw them off.

If the FBI finds out that they helped him get away, I hope they throw the book at them. They have done nothing but act suspiciously since this whole thing started.

I hope so too but they have money so I won't be getting my hopes up.

I was talking to some people around here and asking how likely it is that there are no remains found when somebody is attacked by a gator. The consensus was you usually find something.

Yeah, if they love their son -- and if they helped him, it means they do -- they don't seem to be acting like grieving parents fearing their son is dead. That's why I think they know he's alive

I have nothing to base this on, but my hunch is he offed himself. I have to think he's realized what he's done and to someone I think he probably cared about. Just have a hunch he might not be able to live with what he did.

Brian's vegan? Hmmm. I don't see how that would negatively affect his public image. Also, not drinking out of plastic water bottles, seems also positive.

Looks like Waldo is getting in on the search.
