In all fairness he should have never been hired in the first place. It’s like I said in the off-season, you don’t lose a HOF coach and QB in back to back years and expect to just keep things status quo and have continuity. It’s just not going to happen. Allen should have been retained as DC and every thing else should have been a blow up and start over. Including the entire QB and RB rooms.

Now we have to fire Allen, and we lose a great DC to boot.

Dennis Allen was never, ever a great DC. Please don't go there. He's been carried by talent since 2017 to success, but when he actually has to coach and make late game decisions as a DC, he fails time in and time out.

He jumped to the right to get out of bounds quicker.
