Saints signed QB Nathan Peterman (1 Viewer)

Don't like J. Travis as a potential future top (or even game manager) NFL QB... Smallish, marginal arm, and everything he did well in college was "off schedule". If you are going to take a day 2 or 3 flyer on a QB of the future to develop (because no one is starting this year over Carr)... Give me Joe Milton from Tenn

Peterman and Haener scored very will in intelligence coming out of college. Peterman’s wonderlick was 32. Haener was second overall…the scoring system changed.

Carr was average…he scored 20 on the wonderlick.

I agree that we’re in trouble if Peterman is ever starting games for us, but he could improve the discussion level in the QB room and on the sideline and help make the team better that way. Also, cheap which we need to save money for any type of o-line help.

If things goes south for DC4 and we have to rely on this dude, then 🦌 should just fire himself at that point. I wouldn’t hitch my wagon to him, but hey…….

A locker room doesn’t need to figure out the Pythagorean theorem.

Not to mention, Ian Book went to a far, far better academic program than Fresno State and Pitt.

It’s two completely different strategies. Signing Flacco says Haener isn’t ready, signing Peterman says he is.

Probably inconsequential, but there’s a clear difference in roster building plans based on signing one or the other.
Haener himself sees similarities between himself and Purdy. So I’m sure the new staff are fairly confident in Haeners abilities.
