Agree that he was benched for tanking reasons. Don't agree that he'd beat the Bengals, maybe, MAYBE the Dolphins. And I watched football this season. And I'm a Winston supporter but with less confidence than before. My confidence in him took a hit last season against the Lions when Carr got knocked out of the game and Winston was setup to finish a great comeback. At the game, I told my neighbor that Winston will step up and shut up a lot of non-believers. He didn't and looked bad and that was with good protection and open receivers. Still love the guy, but he's had many, many chances. I'd rate him as a low-level, inconsistent starter that flashes and disappoints equally well.

Winston did go in late in the 4th. Carr started the drive that led to the last TD. Winston came in and finished it resulting in the TD. Saints got the ball back with 3 minutes left and ended with 3 incomplete passes and turned over on downs.

Been saying this. What Rizzi did w/ a team that wasn't created in his image says a lot. He did more w/ Allen's team than Allen did w/ them and that should be taken into consideration. Based on the 2022 hiring cycle out of 10 coaches hired 4 remain, so u can do worse than Rizzi in this cycle. Meanwhile, there's only a 2/5 chance you can do better. Even worse, of the 2/5 chance you also have to consider 1 or 2 of the top coaches may decide not to interview here due to the state of the franchise.

If Rizzi can bring in a staff that fits to how he likes to do things (more aggressive offense/defense) he may be able to do even more.

If it doesn’t work you can always Jerod Mayo him after 1 season and the new HC for the 2026 season will have far more to work w/ for a full scale rebuild

Don't be surprised if he skips NoLA.

I'm really rooting for Ben Johnson to be a huge bust. He seems to have a massive ego and I'm not sure it's warranted.
