No QB is worth paying draft capital to get... And the best one that will fall into our lap would probably be Malik Willis. (Corral is my other QB, but he's gone.)
His mechanics are really raw and needs work. I'm not a big fan of the offense he runs and honestly a little too simple. Throws too many 50/50 balls. Excellent and quick in RPO,tho. Got good wheels... Plays a little like Wilson /Lamar hybrid. Got some great pocket mobility and elusiviness.
I think if you let Taysom go... Malik would be someone I'd look to replace him with... Kind of a poor man's Wilson, but with Wilson level of upside if he can master the NFL.
He struggles to see defenses through passing windows due to height. Gambles too often. Questionable ability to read coverage.
He has franchise potential, but isn't NFL ready on day one, game one, or game 17.
I'd definitely invest a high 2nd in him just to atleast gamble on his play making ability.
