St charles parish. It's been quite an eventful storm. Insane wind and rain and some of my neighbors flooded.

Still have power, neighbors don't. My fear is thar the storm ends at 10 and I flood at 945.

Not a lot of northward movement the last two hours. NHC still shows Francine zipping NNE over the next few hours. If that turns going to happen, it’s got to happen soon.

Not sure where u are in St Charles, but my radar puts the eye right along river now. So maybe another 20 min of rain/wind?

It looked like a bit of a reforming eye. SW of where it was.

Most water we’ve had since i have lived here…about 15 years now…we still have power though…

As i am typing this, it sounds like the rain has slacked off quite a bit

The southern half of Francine had drawn in a lot of dry air. It’s like half a hurricane—south and southeast of the eye, there’s virtually no rain.

WLOX a bit ago said to expect an eastern shift in the track at 10pm.

Definitely feels like it took more of an eastern shift than the NHC expected. Local forecasts seemed a little more accurate!

Definitely went east. Nola ready texted we were in the eye (near city park) and it sure seemed like it.

Obviously there’s no good reason for this guy to be driving his truck wrong way into this mess

Electricity has been out for an hour and a half, one of only 700 customers in our area, Yay. Lucky us.
