I don't need to say it every post. Like I said, read more. I'm not gonna qualify every post I make.It wasn’t under what I responded to.. so maybe pay attention more.

He wasn't terrible. He also wasn't good and he doesn't elevate the team when other things aren't working. We actually ran the ball pretty well in the first half but passing game basically did nothing. What was so terrible about Carr’s performance though. The vikings were putting together 12 play drives. You can’t be terrible from the sidelines, or can you?
Yeah they weren’t hitting big plays in the passing game. That said to call 13/18 for 110/0 tds/0 ints terrible is a huge stretchHe wasn't terrible. He couldn't sustain drives and in a game where the other team was scoring TDs he gave the ball right back to them with consecutive 3 and oursYeah they weren’t hitting big plays in the passing game. That said to call 13/18 for 110/0 tds/0 ints terrible is a huge stretch
I agree.Yeah they weren’t hitting big plays in the passing game. That said to call 13/18 for 110/0 tds/0 ints terrible is a huge stretch
It wasn’t up to standard for sure, but he didn’t play so bad that he deserves to be benched. Jameis made it interesting and at perry and olave made ridiculous catches, but at the end of the day i think our defense lost this game. When you fall behind three touchdowns, it makes it way harder on the offense because they know what you have to do.He couldn't sustain drives and in a game where the other team was scoring TDs he gave the ball right back to them with consecutive 3 and ours
Yes he wasn't good. I think terrible would have been that with a pick or two.He couldn't sustain drives and in a game where the other team was scoring TDs he gave the ball right back to them with consecutive 3 and ours
Yeah it reminds me a lot of the aaron brooks versus jake delhomme days which…ugh i couldn’t stand back then and i can’t stand now.I agree.
I'm sure you've noticed but a lot of people on here have agendas regarding the QBs one way or the other (or the OTHER other in Taysom) and they make it pretty easy to see.
Can't trade TDs with 3 and outs....you do that and find yourself down 24-3 @ halftime...you lose 99.999% of the time. If the O could've sustained just 1 more drive for a TD were going into the half down 17-10 getting the ball to start. It wasn’t up to standard for sure, but he didn’t play so bad that he deserves to be benched. Penalties too killed usCan't trade TDs with 3 and outs....you do that and find yourself down 24-3 @ halftime...you lose 99.999% of the time. If the O could've sustained just 1 more drive for a TD were going into the half down 17-10 getting the ball to start.
Can't put it all on the D when the O was that bad
Sorry but if you think that the TD passes JW threw were great accurate passes and not amazing catches then you don't know what an accurate pass isAll you said was that you don't know what a Hail Mary pass is, but please, continue.
Sorry but Perry and Olave made amazing catches of prayer passes that JW threw , then when we had some chances JW was JW and threw over CO head on 3rd and short . then threw into triple coverage on 3rd and lost us a chance to go for it on 4th and shortI mean, he came in with game well over down 27-3 late in 3rd Quarter, zero fault of his own, all Saints fans already knowing we had lost the game. And then, then, well he made a freakin game of it. And yet people get mad when he, still playing from behind, came up short with some ints and want to bust on him because we did not win. Pretty sad. And absolutely a microcosm of his career.
That was different. Anyone with eyes could see that Brooks was clearly hurt and couldn't make the necessary throws. Haslett created that problem because he didn't want to create a QB controversy. Delhomme gave us the best chance of winning and actually making the playoffs and Haslett pissed it away with yet another incredibly bad coaching decision.Yeah it reminds me a lot of the aaron brooks versus jake delhomme days which…ugh i couldn’t stand back then and i can’t stand now.
I’m not necessarily comparing the situation, i’m comparing the board behavior which is polarizing and reactionary. Every week there are certain members taking victory laps after whichever qb has a bad day. That was different. Anyone with eyes could see that Brooks was clearly hurt and couldn't make the necessary throws. Haslett created that problem because he didn't want to create a QB controversy. Delhomme gave us the best chance of winning and actually making the playoffs and Haslett P'Oed it away with yet another incredibly bad coaching decision.
I think some of what people perceive to be the problem is that Winston, when healthy and coached by Payton, was showing signs of growth as a QB. Even after Payton left, he was keeping down the TO's and bad decisions (not eliminating them) until he got hurt. He was never given a legitimate shot to reclaim the starting job. Winston wasn't DA's QB. Carr is DA's QB and he's the QB that DA has staked his HC career on.
There's no doubt for me that there are still people who are still ticked that Hill didn't get the nod over Winston while Payton was here and some of them have held that hate toward Winston. In some instances, Winston has made it easy. However, I think others are sick of seeing the same things that one QB gets criticized for excused when the other QB does the same thing.
We are stuck with Carr for the next 2 years but he is not the answer anymore than Winston is the answer and DA and PC are not the answer as well.
