I'm exempt this year having avoided Mariah in 2023 and 2024, but I still haven't heard her this year. Probably because she's not on the Christmas playlist I've trained my kids to request when they want Christmas music. And the car radio is tuned to an all 80s station. And I have the sound off when I click on random videos. So even though I don't have to, avoiding Mariah seems to be built into my Christmas routine now.

And I'm still resisting the urge "to partake in any plan to entrap, ensnare, or otherwise dupe players in 2024" even though I still kind of want to find out what a "severe penalty of Christmas music punishment" would be.

After having survived the last few Christmases, I guess I was due. Twerp that she is...

That wasn't enough: she followed it with the worst of all Christmas songs ever written: George Michael's awful "Last Christmas" played at the same volume and her yelling/singing along with it so I got to suffer even more after being assassinated...
