Alvin Kamara indicted. Court date is set for March 2. (2 Viewers)

Is that poster lying? I mean did you see AK stomping the "victim"? It was a fight and the guy that lost is wanting a payday. Now the individual in the hoodie who was moonwalking on his face, well that is way overboard. We don't know what happened prior to the video. We don't know what was said or done. Not saying it's an excuse, but sometimes dudes say things and get punched. Was it 10 mill punches, I wouldn't thinks so. I also won't be on the criminal or civil juries, so who knows.
Damn this is sad. Remove your black and gold glasses my friend.

Kamara clearly jumped someone backing away and continued to strike him while he was defenseless on the ground while his homies stomped him out. He deserves to be punished for his unacceptable behavior.

As bad as I hate to say it, I believe Kamara is done in New Orleans. He’s gonna be an example of how one mistake can derail your career. The video shows him coming from behind and hitting a guy that was fleeing. That’s assault, not self defense. Without a weapon being brandished by the person Kamara hit, and with Kamara coming from behind to punch him, it’s gonna end up being a pretty simple case for the prosecution. Add in Kamara wise cracking about hitting the guy, it just pours salt on and already difficult wound to close. I have supported Kamara his entire career. He’s one of the most athletic and entertaining players I’ve ever watched play football, but he’s gotta be let go. You have to set an example, and you have to conduct matters in a professional manner, not just for this upcoming season, but for seasons to come. Kamara, for everything he’s done while a Saint, he is the cause of his own current situation, and you can’t blame the organization if they do choose to let him go. This isn’t anyone’s fault but Kamara’s. It’s completely reasonable for the organization to expect and demand better from their players. Let’s be honest, not attacking somebody in a nightclub, in the early hours of a morning, isn’t really that much to ask.
I get that. If this was something he'd done before, I'd say send him on his way. As far as I know, this is a first offense with him. If anyone deserved a second chance, he be one I'd give it to. He's been a great teammate and is involved in the community and by almost all accounts, he's a stand up guy. I think the team recognizes this and if he gets a suspended sentence and probation, he should serve a league suspension and be back playing 8 weeks into the season.

He can't comment on it now obviously for legal reasons, but I suspect after a plea agreement or trial, I'm sure he'll eventually admit it was a big mistake on his part.

He doesn't have to be done in NOLA, although I could understand it is the team decides to part ways, but they really don't have to cut bait with him just yet.

Now, in the unlikely event of a lengthy prison term, the team probably has no choice but to let him go.

there's a lot going on in that video. can someone confirm what I'm seeing?

- AK follows guy, and guy bumps into wall
- AK pushes guy to the ground (or did he trip?)
- on the ground, AK throws 3 punches
- at this point, AK stops punching and just looks to gather his things and go
- other people continue punching & stomping
AK definitely strikes him which makes him fall over.

Im unable to upload the screenshot but if you looks a few seconds in you can see his right arm throw a punch.

“I connected with the [expletive]’s jaw so hard,” - Kamara

He is gonna implode if Kamara doesn't do jail time.
I am going to predict that if Kamara doesn't get jail time, he'll end up banned because he'll go on tirade and probably heavily insult multiple people.
You know, I have not said an unkind word to you ever. We all have an opinion about things, but, I do not like to be misrepresented. I have commented on this case since it's inception, and we all had a good laugh at each others expense over it. We have gone back and forth in good fun about it.

Till the Bucs fan shows up and suddenly I'm the guy who needs advice? I have never said even one time Kamara is going to jail or will not get a plea. I have posted more accurate information on this site than anyone concerning this case, and have gone to great lengths to illustrate how serious the charges are and how difficult they are to plead away. So, for the last time. "If Kamara doesn't get a plea deal he will go to prison." This true today as it was the first time I said it back in April.

If you wish to disparage me, get your facts in order!!

Look guys, please let the personal shots go. It's mucking up an otherwise important thread. If you have an issue, please report the post or PM the poster. I don't like banning posters from threads and rather us just move on. That said, any further personal shots will be deleted and other action taken if necessary. Thanks.

Again, posting the law as its written in the books, thanks for helping me prove what i said. Please tell me in your armchair lawyer cases, are most laws held to the letter? Should i post hundreds of articles about people who commit crimes like this or worse who do not do jail time?

If i am wrong, i will have no problem admitting that. I will be shocked if he does jail time, but i will have no problem saying i was wrong.
Something tells me that if he gets off with probation and no jail time (or less, but thats unlikely) you will go on a rant about rigged court system, rich people skirting the law, etc (and you would be correct) but won't admit what we are saying about him not doing Jail time was gonna happen..
Where have you been man. I post nothing but contrarian post and replies, and I can be found here every day for years. I have answered for everything.

I always back up my opinions with facts and stats. Where are yours? You only give opinions, because you have nothing else. Kamara deserves to go to jail, but going to jail isn't the issue at all for me. It never was. Calling the case 10 months out. That's my jam! Your jam is asking everyone if they will come back after they were found out to be wrong. You have done it it often, I remember.

All I have been guilty here of, is weighting my opinion that " if Kamara doesn't get a plea deal, he will go to prison" You have a differing opinion. You think easy no jail time. Good for you. But, I didn't place all this grief on you for your opinion,

Let it go man, or get a room. :9:

Ever stop to wonder why that is the only quote available from anyone pertaining to this incident? Doesn't it seem odd that apparently the victim never said anything? - that is if we're taking everything that has been released as the end all of everything. Hell the Police report can't even count punches correctly...you don't need compubox to see that AK only landed 4 punches, yet they claimed he landed 8 after the dude was already knocked out.

I'm big on scenarios...so I'll paint a relatable scenario for my NOLA folks....its 1130p, you and a group of friends just wrapped up a dinner downtown/FQ at Galatoire's , you're standing outside dressed to the 9s wearing thousands of $$$s in jewelry because that's how you roll...waiting on your Uber...as you're waiting a local...a Woadie, as I refer to, strolls up solo, making small talk at first, then after you make it known you're not interested in keeping his company anymore, he gets belligerent...calls your wife an ugly birch, threatens you and your friends....what do you do next? He's by himself, to me if he has the heart to get sideways at you by himself, he has something on him to level the field...so what do you do?

That, IMO was AKs big mistake, he played it initially as if it was nothing...didn't think of it as nothing, his go-to play from the initial interview should've been self defense of an unknown...but he didn't and tried to go to that defense waaaay after the fact. Had he played it that way from jump, we wouldn't be where we are right now.

Maybe I’m blind but after the guy is on the ground I can’t see what happens to him, other than the stomping, or really tell who is on him. And the stomper is clearly not AK. I’d have to believe there’s more evidence against AK that was used to obtain an indictment. If not I don’t see how this video clip alone is enough to warrant jail time for AK.
You mean evidence like this:

#BREAKING: A recording from the SUV carrying New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara after a beating outside of a Las Vegas nightclub includes the football player saying, “I connected with the [expletive]’s jaw so hard."

A new video recording from the SUV carrying New Orleans running back Alvin Kamara was uncovered on Wednesday.

The NFL star was reportedly captured saying, “I connected with the [expletive]’s jaw so hard,” according to court documents obtained by 8 News Now.

Las Vegas Metro police obtained video from the limo transporting Kamara, the three other men, and several women, as part of its investigation.

“Alvin, you trippin’ bro,” Young said in the video. “You can’t be in the doing that. The wrong [expletive] gets you – there will be a lawsuit.”

The grand jury indictment said Lammons hit “Greene in the head, neck or upper chest” and that Kamara then “charged [Greene] in order to strike and/or punch [him] about the head, neck, chest, upper back, and/or torso area.”

"It was a fight and the guy that lost is wanting a payday."

This was not a fight. That's the first.

"wanting a payday" while not totally "untrue"is casually ignoring the broken orbital bone and shoulder surgery required due to the assault.

Repeat after me... "just because someone said words that hurt your feeling doesn't give you the right to physically assault them."

AKs biggest mistake was assaulting someone walking backwards with his friends. Stop making excuses just because he wears black and gold.

How was it not a fight? A fight is defined as a violent confrontation or struggle. How was this not that?

That settles it then...guess by that logic there shouldn't be any fights anywhere in the world anymore...you got it all figured out.

You a married man? What would you do if someone strolled up and called your wife an ugly b*?

There are a lotta high horses around here nowadays....but not enough ladders apparebtly
