Alvin Kamara pleads no contest to lesser misdemeanor charge, jury trial is cancelled; civil suit also settled on confidential terms (1 Viewer)

Apparently, a few Falcons fans in disguise here wished that he be burned at the stake. My only guess.
It seems odd to me. But I'm from an era where butt whippings were common for folks that asked for it. Police were usually never involved. I surely don't see anything felonious about it. Dude played a stupid game and his prize matched his stupidity.

I'm glad this is worked out but I remember seeing this situation wasn't all that different than what happened with Mike Tyson on the airline. The guy Alvin beat has a propensity of harassing people especially women. This was probably his plan to begin with, push someone into a fight and score on a settlement.

@liveoakh , I would love to hear your opinions on this. this is exactlly what most people on here said was gonna happen, but you kept coming up with "the law says this, the DA is cracking down".
Its no secret this happens more times than not, especially for people with deep pockets..
As I have said many times, Kamara would have to plead to a lessor charge that has a no jail time. I really didn't think they would offer him a plea deal. I guess deep pockets prevailed in this case.

Btw.....@ing me is not very classy, considering I am here every day. All you really needed to do is reply to one of my post.

LMAO and some fans on here was acting like Kamara was going to face YEARS in jail

Seriously, he was NEVER going to jail.

This is some good news but obviously he'll still get suspended just hopefully less games but I'll never trust Roger on anything related to our Saints.

I wish we could spread out a 6 game suspension for example where we can decide what games he misses and sort of have him on a pitch count and keep him fresh for the run at the end. What's the reason for it to have to be X amount of games in a row as long as the amount of games are missed?

Me too. But I have never been a part of a group of people hanging up on 1 person and beating the crap out of him. Seems kind of sleazy to me.
