NFL Draft Anyone else watching Cam Ward? (2 Viewers)

So was Trent Dilfer, Kirt Cousins, Borck Purdy, and the biggest game manager of all time Tom Brady.

Yes, but he's a mediocre game manager. He isn't those guys. Maybe he's worth a late first or early second, but he's not a top 10 player. And that's clear given where Cousins, Purdy, and Brady were drafted. And only one of those guys is really a great QB. The rest are basically Derek Carr but maybe a little better.

Folks, we have a thread on the Georgia at Ole Miss game on the NCAA board. Please join us! :9:

Deon Sanders is as old school as they come. There’s no way he coddles Shedeur to a degree where his growth is limited.

We have very different definitions of old school. I mean, the kid hasn't played on a team where his dad wasn't either the OC or HC since before high school.

I think Deion likes to put out the image that he is old school, but he's really still all prime time.

That's fair. I guess I just think Sanders is near his peak and Ward has a lot of upside so if I had to choose, I would choose Ward. Of course, Ward also has a lot of bust potential because he needs to learn to throw from the pocket and many have failed to do that.

The smart move for the Saints is likely to just take BPA and see what they have in Rattler and Haener. Then you consider the QBs next year. Or, take one this years if you have to trade up to the lower first or high in the 2nd.
I'm okay with them taking qb. The good thing is if it work your team is set, if they stink you get to draft another one right away. BPA cab be so good it can prevent you from getting a qb in a later year

If they think a franchise guy is there then you take him. I'm just not sure any of these guys are franchise guys. And if you don't think they are, you need to build your team for when you find one. Usually it takes 2 or 3 years to decide that a QB isn't a franchise guy so you can't really take one every year high in the draft or you end up with a team with no talent.

Sheduer Sanders over Cam ward all day every day. "With the first pick in the 2025 NFL drafting New Orleans Saints select Sheduer Sanders QB Colorado"

He plays in one hour, can you haters please watch the game before you start ignorant neg reps.
Wonder if Deion would allow him to go to the Saints

Thats the opposite of a smart move. Now if yall are crapping on sanders, I would gladly take Travis Hunter. Now he actually fills an immediate need. He would solve our WR1 and CB1 spots in one pick. He would allow us to put Chris Olave in the slot and give Olave plays to him, take the 2 3rd round picks and draft 2 guards 1 Guard and 1 G/T. The 2nd take the best TE available and put that position to bed.

I don't think he has a choice. I would draft him and store him for 26', cut Haener, run with Carr/Rattler 25', push through with a competitive year and 26' with a rebuilt OL I would turn him loose just in time that the falcons will be turning loose Penix.

So in the same post you said taking BPA is not smart but that you would take Travis Hunter who would clearly be BPA?

Something here isn't smart.

And the odds are that once Hunter gets to the NFL he isn't going to play every down both ways. He's likely going to be a starting CB that gets occasional plays as a WR.

I love his arm and so many other things about him. Not sure why he holds the ball so long. And never steps up into the pocket. No one open or not anticipating it enough? Can these things be coached out?
