Generally the data seems to be better on the Moderna vaccine in general, but a lot of good results have been reported with mixing. Since you had Moderna initially, I would say you are good with either. I think the Moderna may be a slightly higher dose.
Awesome. Thanks for the info.

Moderna booster isn't the same as regular Moderna, it's a half-dose ("The Moderna COVID-19 single booster dose is half of the dose that is administered for a primary series dose and is administered at least six months after completion of a primary series of the vaccine. " - https://www.fda.gov/news-events/pre...al-actions-use-booster-dose-covid-19-vaccines).

I've seen reports suggesting mixing has better results, but haven't had a chance to check the actual studies myself. They seem to have been enough for the UK to adopt it as protocol though (I had a Pfizer booster after Moderna, and my wife had a Moderna booster after Pfizer accordingly). But either are OK I believe.

I don't know if it's been stated in this thread, but what's the verdict on boosters as to which one to get? My initial vaccination was Moderna and I want to get the booster. Should I just stick with Moderna or go with Phizer?
I would personally stick with Moderna. According to a recent study at Duke the original 2 shot dose may be less
effective against omicron. The good news is the booster was found to give excellent protection. The key is to
get the booster asap. Omiccron ain't playing around.

I stuck with Moderna for the whole treatment. I don't think you can go wrong if you mix them, but, if you had the pfizer initially, I would recommend the moderna booster. The only side effect I experienced with the booster was site/muscle soreness.

I got my booster on Tuesday. First two were Pfizer now with a Moderna booster. I felt super tired and joints hurt like hell on Wednesday, sore arm. Thursday was just a sore arm. Nothing by Friday.

My youngest (10) passed their 14-day window for complete vaccination on Wednesday.

My clan is now fully vaccinated

WASHINGTON (AP) — More than 12,000 military service members refusing the COVID-19 vaccine are seeking religious exemptions, and so far they are having zero success.

That total lack of approvals is creating new tensions within the military, even as the vast majority of the armed forces have gotten vaccinated.

The services, urgently trying to keep the coronavirus pandemic in check by getting troops vaccinated, are now besieged with exemption requests they are unlikely to approve.

Meanwhile, troops claiming religious reasons for avoiding the shots are perplexed because exemptions are theoretically available, yet seem impossible to obtain.

Caught in the middle are chaplains, who must balance the desire to offer compassionate care and guidance to personnel with the need to explain a complicated process that may well be futile.

They also must assess requests from those who may be using religion as an excuse to avoid a vaccine that, while credited with preventing needless deaths, has become politically charged…….

I think a lot of people are confusing religious exemption with moral/personal objections.

The 3rd circuit court of appeals ruled refusal to take a vaccine was a medical decision and not a religious one.
SCOTUS has let that decision stand for now.

I have seen some people talk about everyone should just get infected so that we can all be immune. I guess they don't understand the deaths invloved in that.
My wife's unlce is one. got the original strain and was ok, got the Delta strain and he almost dies, and still can't get back to normal day to day actvites.
It's not just the millions of deaths, it's also the tens of millions with Long Covid.

Under which religion? Because armies' purpose is to kill people.

To attribute those solely to the "unvaccinated" is both ignorant and disingenuous.
Solely? No
Greatly? Yes

If your plan is to infect everyone with Covid under the assumption that it's just a 1% mortality, mostly among the elderly, not only are you a f'n monster, you're completely blowing off Long Covid.

LC-19 is going to cause untold misery and drag down economies for years as it is. Deliberately going for an even worse impact is simply stupid beyond all description.

I would even say (pure speculation based on what I've read) that the margin of deaths attributed to the unvaxed vs vaxed would not be that great. I'm not advocating for everyone intentionally getting infected, by any means.
I've both had the vaccine and the virus (and am still feeling some effects).
I'm just tired of the blame game and those puffing their chests and calling themselves "heroes" for simply doing what they want mandated for everyone else.
Vent over...
