I haven't really seen that. I've seen people say it's the smart or common sense thing to do, but heroes? Nah, I don't see anyone in this thread saying that.
Maybe I was hallucinating. It kind of made me sick to my stomach. I started to post about delusions of grandeur, but left it alone at the time.

I did last year when the vaccines came out. The message has always been the same, no aspiration is needed. The tone of your posts are certainly of someone with a high degree of skepticism, so like I said, if it makes someone feel better, then ask. But it's not necessary.

Grated the study is on mice, but still valid. Also there are plenty of capillaries and veins in the muscle so while rare it is possible to hit one and have the contents of the syringe go directed into the blood stream, which is most definitely a problem.

Conclusions: This study provided in-vivo evidence that inadvertent intravenous injection of COVID-19 mRNA-vaccines may induce myopericarditis. Brief withdrawal of syringe plunger to exclude blood aspiration may be one possible way to reduce such risk.

Maybe, I've followed both threads closely since the beginning and I don't recall anyone calling themselves or vaxxed people heroes. When you brought it up, that's the first I've heard of it.

I hope that you are right, and that it was not on this site.

It was from an image of a tweet that was posted. I remember seeing it too. Was about a week or so back if I remember right. While it wasn't somebody's direct words from here, it was implied from the tweet.

While it may be "less likely", I don't agree that it is "not likely".

This is what I heard when the vaccines were first rolled out

If you are vaccinated you are much less likely to get infected with Covid

If you are vaccinated and do get infected with Covid you are much less likely to get seriously sick

If you are vaccinated and do get infected with Covid you are much less likely to infect someone else

If you are vaccinated and do get infected with Covid and you do infect someone else, they are much less likely to get seriously sick

What more do you want a vaccine to do?

yeah you are either gonna need to support that statement with links to these posts or retract that sentence.

Ive been on this thread since inception and never ONCE saw anyone refer to themselves as a "hero" for taking the vaccine.

And frankly, i find that you would accuse anyone on here of doing so , repulsive.

So yeah you may have been hallucinating. But that isnt an apology or retraction.

so someone posted a tweet from some twitter handle that said they felt that anyone taking vaccine is a hero?

and it was implied that the poster, who was pro vax, was a hero as well?

is that the jist of it?

I've read/heard most of those, too.
I'm not anti-vaccine.

As you saw in SaintInBucLand's post, I did not entirely make it up. It has been awhile and over time, I must have forgotten the exact details.
So, yes, technically, I was wrong. I'm sure that it is not the first, or probably even the last, time that I've been wrong.
So, while I will not go back and edit that post (to prevent confusion), I will specifically apologize to you and ask that you accept my apology.

As far as your 3rd sentence, I'm sorry that you feel that way and can only attribute that to the fact that you do not know me.

Hope this satisfies you...

When you are getting your vaccine or booster, make sure to ask the medical technician to aspirate the needle before injection.
The training is not to do it.

Edit: I saw your follow up post. I'll have to read that later.

I've read a few articles since this was mentioned. The syringes used for the covid vaccine are AD ( auto disabled) and
are not designed or able to be aspirated. These were made to prevent addicts from sharing needles.

No one is calling vaxxed folks heros.....just folks doing what they are supposed to do....
You have missed several memes or twitter links on either this thread or the other Covid thread.
