Arrow - Spoilers galore (1 Viewer)

I was so hoping Felicity was the one in the grave...

Hopes were dashed when they showed her sitting in the limo.

I still held out hope, thinking Oliver may have been talking to her ghost. And then when Laurel temporarily recovered in the hospital, I got my hopes up for Felicity again. :hihi:

This episode was basically a microcosm of what has become my love/hate relationship with this show.

Enjoyed the scenes with Ollie and Dig going it old school, sans Overwatch in their ear, trying to rescue Thea and the rest of the town inhabitants and take down Anarky. Some good action scenes...

Hated the Felicity parental drama. And, seriously, how sickeningly hypocritical are these Smoak women? After all their high horse preaching to others about lying, we find out that Felicity's mother has been lying to her FOR YEARS about her father leaving them, and it's no big deal? Are they trying to make these characters this loathsome?

Side note on something I noticed tonight: Have they ever called Dahrk's daughter by name? I don't recall it. I have some hope maybe it's something significant like Zatanna, but this season has been so wildly uneven, I can't be too optimistic.

I cant watch it anymore. I got up this morning to watch it on dvr and ended up turning it off and watching an old rerun of Big Bang Theory.

Was I the only one that noticed when Felicity's mom asked if she lost her Felicity said no and they hugged that Felicity's face looked like she lied? Felicity has been bothering me this season but not on the same planet as her mother. I want to throw her out of a very high building but not too high to where I can't hear her screams and impact on the ground.

I nearly turned it off when the Smoaks were doing what they do. I have never even come close to considering turning off a DC comics show until this. I am actually starting to feel bad for the actors trying to do their job with the crap that is written for them.

The Smoak family relationship drama is stupid beyond description. They're literally trying to prevent the apocalypse (again!!!) and her dumb mother is getting pissy that she lied by omission by never saying anything about working with Green Arrow. Then later admits she'd been lying to Felicity her entire life.

You know what? Enough of this dumb show and it's dumb subplots related to characters lying. Felicity gets pissy with Oliver because he can't stop lying, Felicity's mom gets ****** at Felicity because Felicity lied. Felicity's mom has actually been lying this entire time, which prevent Felicity from having a relationship with her father. Digg's brother lied to Digg. Digg lied to his wife about why he killed his brother. Blah blah blah. It's such a lazy *** crutch for the writers to keep falling back on that it underscores how they have no real concept of characterization of relationships. No one on this show is capable of telling the truth to anyone, ever.

Enough!

I hope Damian Dahrk blows up Star City next week. I really have had my fill of Arrow and it's characters. Just nuke them all and give the timeslot to a JSA spinoff from Legends of Tomorrow.

Tell us how you really feel...

I totally agree btw

It's getting to be a chore to watch, especially considering how good it once was. It still even teases some of that, which makes it so frustrating.

Can't post, but I just saw that they announced that they're adding Artemis to the team next season.

is it the same Artemis from young justice ? and by the way im still mad that they keep killing off Black Canary.
Yeah, that's the one. Speaking of which, I just finished season 2 on Netflix a few weeks ago.

sorry Grand if i spoiled anything for you. i was also reading that nightwing may show up next season i kinda doubt this but with Artemis showing up maybe they are heading in a young justice path.

Doesn't hurt me at all. Arrow is least favorite of the DC shows.

The story arc for this season involves Star City attracting a ton of new vigilantes in the wake of everything that has happened. They've also already cast Wild Dog and Vigilante. I don't think it's anything Young Justice related with her being Artemis. Just a relevant name.

And I'd be supremely shocked if you saw Nightwing. Although with Superman officially showing up on Supergirl maybe those shackles are a bit looser than they used to be.
