Autograph sessions seem so meat-marketish, pulling, pushing, hollering players names, many times they sign without making eye contact.
I'd trade an actual eye contact handshake with Colston, and a genuine brief moment to thank him, and let him know how much I appreciate/root for him and the Saints.
I would far prefer that to an autograph.

If he ended up signing it then all would be good. If not then that's a little messed up

Have Colston sign a Coleman jersey?

Sorry I don't agree with you fellas on this. He spent good money on a Colston jersey (assuming its not a knockoff) and wanted it signed by Colston. Nothing wrong with that. Had he wanted just any old jersey signed by any old player, then it would have been a good joke-making people think they were getting a Colston sig. However that's not the case. He had a Colston jersey and wanted Colston to sign it.

edited to add: I know some of you have signed jersey's. I don't think any of you would find it funny to have your Drew Brees jerseys signed by someone else, and you would not have them framed and hanging on your wall. That is all this guy wanted, a Colston jersey signed BY Colston

he just did.. It is called an apology. Not an entitlement.

I can understand why the person might feel some disappointment but a free autograph is a kind gesture and not an obligation. I don't think any person should go into that with expectations at such a level that something like this - a lighthearted prank - can't be shrugged off.

Obviously Coleman realized that something that seemed fun/funny at the time might have caused some hurt feelings and brought about some unwanted negative attention and an apology was a stand up move for something that shouldn't be that big of a deal. If anything more is done, that's great and would only speak well of whoever makes that happen, but it should by no means be seen as requisite. End of the day, the guy has Coleman's autograph and a funny story if he can bring himself to lighten up about it all.

I say grown ups asking for the signature of other grown ups is a weird practice. :idunno:

this...

The joke was funny, and if a grown *** man got his jimmies rustled trying to get a signature from another grown *** man, all the better.

To the fans that got upset I&#39;m sorry lol</p>&mdash; Brandon Coleman (@B_Cole16) <a href="https://twitter.com/B_Cole16/status/631229435283402752">August 11, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

The lol at the end does not show much sincerity.
