At Training Camp - Joke or Not Funny At All [THREAD CLOSED]

I totally get why your friend was bummed -- Coleman and Colston are not at all on the same level in terms of Legendary Saints. And as others have said, if Coleman becomes a Legendary Saint, then it'll be fantastic.

If there is such a thing as a "fair joke", everyone could've had a laugh if he had only signed generic items (footballs, helmets, not "Colston"-specific stuff), and it would've spared him the PR kerfuffle...

I say grown ups asking for the signature of other grown ups is a weird practice. :idunno:

I agree with this let the kids get them.

How could a grown man stand in a line in front of kids?

I don't get it either

Coleman is not entitled to enjoying himself at the expense of ruining other people's property. It's the people who think that's okay who should be compared to people starting riots (not that it should have even been brought up in this thread).

I'm guessing if a fan keyed "Marques Colston #12" into Coleman's car and then later said, "Hey, it was just a joke. lol" that Coleman wouldn't have been smiling about it.

Wow
Wwwwoooowwwwww
Why do people in deep holes keep digging?
The person is handing over his property to have a football player sign it - in what way is colston/coleman under some sort of contract to this guy?

That's a very cool story to tell the grand kids when he eventually hands em the jersey. I'd laugh harder then anyone if it happened to me.

Look up because the point just went over your head. The person did not hand over the jersey to Coleman to sign his name on it. Coleman duped the person under false pretenses and marked up the person's property with something other than what the person was giving permission to do to it.

I like how handing someone covering their face something to sign without actually talking to or greeting them is the same thing as someone randomly vandalizing your vehicle. Got it. Now I'm so offended. I must cry about it. Who shall hold me?

I hate the way people say they are offended it's the thing to say. To start a confrontation with others if you wasn't there you can't say how it would feel.

Considering I know myself pretty well.. I know how I would feel. And if your feelings get hurt... then you have been offended.

If he got offended, so what? Just because you would let football players do anything they want to you and be happy with it, everybody else doesn't have to be that way.

A joke is only funny if everyone laughs. This may not be the case but I wasn't there. Tell your friend to keep the autograph. You never now, it could be worth something one day to an autograph seeker. Case in point: I was attending a baseball game back in 1990 at the Rangers Stadium in Texas and it happened to be hat day. I got the manager Bobby Valentine to sign it along with the owner of the Rangers who was there. The owner of Rangers at the time was George Bush Jr. who later became a US president. Again, never throw an autograph away..

Did he spell his name right, or just put a W?

The comparisons people are trying to make in this thread are pretty hilarious.

Colston probably thought it was funny too.

Oh my, but my feelings. Please, be gentle. I don't want to get my panties bundled.

The guy was ASKING A FAVOR
The next time he should bring a megaphone and announce "i am giving marques colston AND ONLY MARQUES COLSTON permission to sign my shirt"

Some of y'all are tripping like a blonde in a horror movie
