Bad Casting Choices in the Movies and Television

I get why some people don't like Nic Cage. I love him and think he's probably the most interesting and versatile actors we have. This video does a great job of going into why he's such a divisive actor and why his acting style is so different. It might not make you like him more but I think it will at least give you an interesting perspective on his acting choices.

How have we made it 5 pages without anyone mentioning Cruise specifically as Jack Reacher.

Reacher: 6'5", 210-250lbs.
Cruise: 5'7", 170lbs

Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rebecca Dawes in Dark Knight. Still don’t get it. Millionaire playboy and this is his crush? Childhood sweetheart or not I was left throwing up the What the Fork! flag when watching. I did not read the comics so maybe i’m wrong.

She was going to be my choice as well. Her performance wasn't very good either!

She was certainly much better than Katie Holmes.

Katie's best acting job was her marriage to Tom Cruise and even that wasn't convincing.

While not necessarily bad, there are two (in the same universe nonetheless) I always found...off.




Glover at least had Lethal Weapon, but still a bit of a leap to being the sort of action hero you'd cast in Predator 2.
