Bills fan here..... Joe Brady (25 Viewers)

You obviously don't know about LSU. In 2018 everyone in BR knew that Burrow was on the verge of something special along with Jefferson , Chase and CEH. Yeah let's compare 2019 with 2020 when Burrow , Jefferson and CEH are gone and all that's left is Chase and he opted out. Yup , that's a real good comparison. SMH

As I have said before , Brady was not the OC @ LSU , he was not even the playcaller, Cushenberry was. Even Ensminger said so. Brady brought some of Payton's concepts to LSU . Brady was the passing game coordinator /WR coach , not even the QB coach

You don't know LSU

While you are rewriting reality to fit your incredibly false narrative, I’d like to share this photo of Joe Brady holding his 2019 Broyles Award for the best assistant in college football.

People in Baton Rouge were so upset about it at the time. They were beside themselves.. Feel free to reply with more nonsense but I’ll stick to clown treatment from here on out…

Yup that's the deal sealer, let's make sure the next Saints HC has won the Broyles award because that tells the whole story. ( Sarcasm Off)

People in BR were WAY more upset about loosing Burrow , Jefferson,CEH and Chase opting out for Covid. Brady really saw the writing on the wall. I will give him a great deal of credit for knowing when to strike while the iron was hot and the rats were leaving a sinking ship

You don't know jack squat.....not speaking for Hogs but I've been an LSU fan for 50+ years.....Joe Burrow's 1st season was just ok, had he gone to the NFL he probably would have been a mid round draft pick at best, his leap into his 2nd year was historical as was the entire LSU offense.....

Funny because I don't remember anyone predicting that LSU would break all kinds of offensive records in 2019......And the only major change to the LSU coaching staff was young Joe Brady......

Imo... You have MM who is a middle of the pack Coach that's probably on the decline or you can try to hit on Joe Brady that probably has elite potential.

You aren't going to be contending for two seasons. So, why not try to hit on Joe Brady?

Dude is just coming up with random nonsense because he wants a specific coach not named Joe Brady.

A bit harder on MM then me, but your point is exactly my line of thinking. But there is zero reason to expect Joe Brady wouldn't be a success. He's elevated every offense he has OC'd, and in some ways drastically with the exception of 1 year with Sam Darnold, who we just watched soil himself under Kevin O'Connell at the end of the season and playoffs, and we all know Kevin O'Connell is an excellent coach.

By your thinking, you would have turned down Reid when he got fired in Philly. Or would say no to Tomlin if he were available. Probably either Harbaughs as well. McCarthy's success in Dallas is in spite of all the meddling that Jones does . Jones runs the draft, heck I'll bet he even tries to call the plays.

It was common knowledge in BR in 2018 that Burrow and the LSU offense was special and only going to get more special, They won their 1st 5 games and 2 against top 10 teams . Again , Brady was not the playcaller @ LSU Cushenberry was. Brady was not the OC he was the passing game coordinator / WR coach . He was not even the QB coach. What he did was bring some of Payton's concepts to LSU . He get's way too much credit for the greatest group of skilled players ever on a college offense.

I have no problem hiring a young OC or even a DC that has the experience and the skins on the wall and most of all the leadership qualities as the next HC . But Brady at this time has not shown any of that to me

Your litany of false equivalences at the top is just amateurish. McCarthy = McCarthy, and not Reid, Tomlin, or Harbaugh. If any of those 3 were available, there would hypothetically, in my opinion, be 99%+ desire by the fanbase to hire them. As for McCarthy, he's polling at or slightly above 50% in competition with Joe Brady here and outside of this board. He aint the others.

Your revisionist history of LSU 2018 is stunning. Look at their November 2018 when they got shutout by Bama, and then they herpa-derpa'd to a 74-72 overtime loss to the Aggy Yell leaders. That's the game that reformed CFB overtime. What Burrow in 2018 did for LSU fans was pause their many years-run of subpar QB's and poor QB recruiting. But LSU's 2019 offense was not really revealed until the game at Texas in early September and the 4th and 17 TD from midfield late in the game.

So is Payton a middle of the pack coach? Because they have almost identical records.

Don't see the relevance in coaching record. You would have to be blind to both their resumes to really put them next to each other.

This statement has proven to be nothing more than a massive manipulation of stats and is easily countered with the statement that payton has never been fired or let go. McCarthy has twice now.

To make matters worse there are quite literally a dozen different points that could be made to massively differentiate the two.
