Brandon Staley and Christian Parker interviewed for Defensive Coordinator, Doug Nussmeier interviewed for OC; all on Feb 16 (14 Viewers)

We also have Clancy Barone still on staff that coached the TE's. Will he be an assistant with Haslett? Does anyone know what happened to Randy Mueller, he's not listed on the staff anywhere anymore, did he leave?
No hires outside of Kellen Moore have been accounted for on the Saints website, though coaches that have been confirmed to have left for other jobs have been removed. I would guess that there will be some changes on the site one official announcements have been made. For now I wouldn't read too much into who is or isn't still on staff.

What’s the time stamp of him supposedly saying this? Didn’t want to listen to the whole thing.

If he said this with the degree of certainty you’ve posted it with, he’d have tweeted it by now and people would be running with the story IMO.
He was asked will it be Nuss and Staley? To which he responded, "Yeah, it will." Don't know the exact time stamp cuz I watched it earlier, but it's not but a minute or 2 in....He sounded sure to me.

Nick says it will be Nuss and Staley around the 2:00 mark, but he kind of backs off of it a little bit later. So I don't know that he actually has info that it is Staley as much as he just thinks it makes sense that it would be Staley. But, he does sound pretty confident it will be Nuss and Staley.

It’s been good to get news on all the offensive coaching hires, but the update that I’ve been looking out for most is the DC hire. We’ve effectively had the same DC for the last nine years, I’m really interested to see who will be charged with turning this defense around.

Yeah I am so interested too. Seem like they going through the whole process before making any decision

Role Reversal in New Orleans

As I reported last week, Kellen Moore is expected to hire Brandon Staley as the Saints' defensive coordinator. Moore, of course, served as Staley's offensive coordinator for a year in Los Angeles, and while Staley's tenure as Chargers head coach didn't pan out, he previously excelled as a defensive coordinator. In 2020, he led the Rams to the NFL's No. 1 defense, ranking first in total defense, sacks (53), pass defense, and points allowed. For a Saints defense that struggled across the board last season — ranking 30th in total defense, 27th against the pass, and 31st against the run — Staley would represent a much-needed change.

I say we hire both of them. Make Parker defensive coordinator and Stanley assistant head coach.
I said that in an earlier post only with Staley being DC and Parker being run D coordinator, but your way might make it easier to get Parker because it would definitely be a promotion and the Eagles couldn't do anything about it
