Britney Griner released 12-08-2022 (2 Viewers)

I recognize that "wife-beater" is meant to diminish her worth for the purposes of finding fault with the exchange to bring her home, but if that's a thing that people are going to use to negatively portray her with, we should at least revisit details of the incident. Both she and her then fiancé, and eventual ex-wife, were arrested for assault and disorderly conduct for a verbal argument that turned physical, both were seen hitting each other, both sustained injuries.

Both are domestic abusers, fantastic! Don't forget she agreed to have a baby with her then fiancée and only decided after she gave birth to annul the marriage and try to fight paying child support.

She's a scummy person.

Regardless of all of this, she brought this all upon herself. She decided to go to a country that's not friends with the US and smuggle illegal drugs. She decided on that all on her own.

Now we gave up a weapons dealer responsible for the death and pain of countless American military members. For what????

I think that's what got Griner in this mess.

This is 100% unnecessary.

What part, asking David if he was ok with the exchange? or calling Griner a weed smoke basketball player...

He never said if he was ok with the exchange, just that he's happy with her release.

If you look at that Sixty Minutes piece, you would understand what the government went through to get that guy, and he was used to free Brittney Griner, what a load of ****.

Like most of your statements, this is both ignorant, moronic and untrue....Any notion or idea of why Griner was playing in Russia? Or why she played in China at one time?
Griner is currently on a 3 yr(s) / $664,544 contract in the WNBA and plays overseas in Russia on a 7 figure contract.

Clearly you don't know what your taking about

Would you have been okay if the trade was for Whelan only?
Absolutely not. This is an international terrorist responsible for the death of thousands.

In LA murder is up to a lifetime punishment. This guys got the blood of THOUSANDS on his hands.

It is a bit odd that we, as a rule, don't negotiate with terrorists. And yet, we just did, and basically did it contrary to all the overriding policy reasons for why we shouldn't, which is that it strengthens their resolve to keep doing this and it puts someone dangerous back into the world. I just don't understand why we violated our policy in this one instance for this one person (well, I kind of understand, and I'm not thrilled about it).

Why does it matter if he was "ok " or not with the exchange?

Does that change anything about the exchange? Of course not...so its a moot point unless you are looking for something past the trade to get your panties in a wad about.

Agreed, It's completely hypocritical
