Welcome to the return of robber barons, 70-hour work weeks, company towns, and the absence of child labor laws.

I gave a negative rating for the company that took over the lab at my Dr. What was once a 5 min wait is now 50 minimum.

They responded with an email about the new 35$ per visit service where they come to u at an appt time.

Essentially they've figured out how to turn the cost of facilities into patients paying additional for care.

It's not enough to make profit, you have to constantly wring more and more from the masses.

Someone pointed out that if you ran a monkey farm and 1% of your monkeys was hoarding all the bananas, you'd think there was a problem with the monkeys. Somehow, when a human hoards like that, they get the cover of Forbes.

Makes ya think
Wealth hoarding is a pathological addiction, and a wealth addict is no different than any other addict in that the addiction comes first all the time. Their lives become centered around the addiction. It is their raison d'etre. The problem in society is when we expect rational behavior from those incapable of that behavior. Oligarchs come to mind. there will never be enough to satisfy the craving for more money/power.

Sadly, these addicts would be the first to condemn a heroin addict and completely fail to see their own hypocrisy.

I have no doubt the Dept of Labor will come under attack soon, like the rest of the depts. the Dept of Labor costs companies money because they have to follow rules like this. they want companies to be like, ooops, oh well, accidents happen.
