After a championship run in 2019, numerous LSU stars will get drafted this spring. If the latest CBS Sports NFL mock draft proves to be correct, one of them won’t even leave the state of Louisiana.
The members of last year’s LSU football team will be legends in the state forever, but one player could get the opportunity to take that to another level in the NFL. In his latest seven-round mock draft for CBS Sports, R.J. White projects LSU tight end Thaddeus Moss getting selected by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2020 draft. White notes that Moss still has some work to do in terms of becoming a receiving tight end, but he’ll have time to develop that part of his skillset.
“Moss can help as a blocker immediately as he tries to improve as a passing-game weapon,” White writes.
In an interview with NFL.com, Moss talked about what it would feel like to get drafted. When that moment comes later this month, the LSU tight end already knows he’ll get pretty emotional.
