So, Tim Drake is now bi-sexual. I absolutely hate how DC went about doing this.

Jonathan Hickman is leaving as head of the X-books. Might have been a good time to move on anyway.

Yeah.

I dont envy whoever gets the inevitable reset and has to scale this back from terraforming Mars and all the other whacky stuff from his run back to just being a school for mutants. You know its coming.

Yep. Things got weird really quick once he was done with HOX/POX. And of course, there are too many X-books now.

It honestly got way too out there for me. I was initially on board with what he was doing, but then we ended up with the X-Men basically becoming immortal gods so powerful they are remaking planets, and even before we got there everyone was acting weird and cultish and out of character.

It looks like Inferno will probably tear a lot of that down, but I kind of miss the days when they were just outsiders trying to protect a world that hate and fears them. I wouldn't mind a stripdown back to the core concept with some new talent.

I feel you there. The biggest thing I wanted from Hickman after HOX/POX was the fallout of the Xavier/MoIra/Eric agreement about destiny and Moira making herself known to the rest of Krakoa.

What we got was a whole lot of craziness from the Quiet Council's rules, Scott, Logan, and Jean seemingly sharing each other, Scott possibly still shagging Emma as well, a single home on the moon before they decided to colonize Mars. Then you have Excalibur messing around in Camelot in Otherworld. I could go on and on.

The biggest travesty to me, and this wasn't Hickman, was the bullshirt move Dan Slott would create to retcon Franklin Richards' history to say "no, he was never a mutant."

GTFOH...

An Amazing Fantasy #15 just sold at auction for $3.6 million. Take that Superman.

As long as Marvel keeps putting out good movies, the comic book market will stay crazy.

I can kick myself for selling some of the books that I sold when I was a teenager. A few years from now I'll probably wish that I had pulled the trigger on Avengers #4 for $2k because even a low grade copy will become unobtainable.

Tell me about it. I bought a Moon Knight #1 at a con for $32. That following month Marvel announced the series. Saw the same seller at another con and he was less than happy to see me. I just wish it was Werewolf by Night instead.

I bought this Moon Knight series because I bought the first two issues of the first two volumes back in the 80's. (Still have them) The title is probably more popular than it has ever been but it still isn't a commonly known character. There's potential in that book.

I just buy what I intend to keep for life but, sometimes, I have to buy bundles of books in order to get the few that I want. I have hundreds that I don't want. My LCS owner said that he will only buy select 90's comics. The market was flooded with more than could be sold so those books are mostly worthless.

Wait. They had an X-Men 2099?

Yeah, ran for 35 issues from 93-95. It's completely forgettable except perhaps for how completely uninspired the characters are. They had such totally extreme 90's names like Meanstreak, Bloodhawk, Metalhead, and Skullfire.
