Gwyneth Paltrow is using an 'intuitive fasting' diet to treat lingering COVID-19 symptoms
Gwyneth Paltrow said she's using keto and intermittent fasting to treat lingering COVID-19 symptoms.www.insider.com
I don't know about the rest of you, but I always get my medical opinions from Gweneth Paltrow. I mean, if you can't trust Gweneth, who can you trust? I know, some of you are going to say Joe Rogan, but I'd go with Gwenth over Joe every day of the week.

But you completely ignored the fact I posted this one as well. The Buchinger Wiljemi Clinic is recognized as one of the world leaders in fasting for the benefits of health and longevity. I used Paltrow's experience as an example of somebody well known/famous to show examples.
Also, I might add that fasting is a wonderful way to help bring sustainability to our current trends of over consumption. If more people used fasting as a part of their everyday life we would consume tremendously fewer resources as a whole.
Fasting has worked wonders for me, not only have I completely eradicated my long covid issues, but I have gotten a lot healthier(lower blood pressure, all metabolic markers improved, and more energy and focus.) All without taking a single big pharma pill.
People tend to attack fasting because they have a vested interests in the medical industry which doesn't want people to do anything preventative that doesn't make it money.
I don't know if you've peeked in on this thread. I have found it fascinating and highly recommend it.I'm not ignoring anything. I don't have an opinion one way or the other on if fasting is a good idea for long COVID or not and haven't given an opinion on it. Apparently it worked for you and that's great. I'm happy that you got some relief. Apparently others think that it can be harmful for some people to do fasting and that your situation was the exception rather than the rule. I have no idea if fasting for Long COVID is a good idea and I'm not sure I'm qualified to give an opinion on it. Although I will say that I don't think money is the motivator for those against fasting because, as pointed out by Athreal, there is no money to be made on the other side since there are no expensive treatments or drugs that I am aware of for treating long COVID. So, either way, nobody is making money. Except apparently for Gweneth Paltrow.
That being said, I do know that Gweneth Paltrow is not qualified to give an opinion on it. Nor is Joe Rogan for that matter. But, it seems that Gweneth fancies herself some sort of lifestyle/medical/nutrition/life coach guru. And, I find that funny since I have never thought she was particularly smart or the type of person I would trust about anything other than how to make a bunch of money and have a big career as an actor with a mediocre amount of talent and no knowledge of science or medicine.

The Science of Fasting
Happened upon this documentary and have worked my way up to being able to fast for 2-3 days out of the week. Initially, it was difficult to get past those 'hunger pangs', but that gets easier as you learn to just fill yourself with water until they go away.I do see the higher energy, better...saintsreport.com
None of us are qualified to speak to fasting and long covid, but I wouldn't be surprised that it positively affects it just going by my experiences and further research into it.

No money in it? Doctors are having a field day throwing medications at long covid having NO idea what they are doing. I didn't even have high cholesterol and one doctor told me to get on statins as a way to help with long covid. In the long covid subreddit there are post after post by people who are on numerous medications prescribed by their doctors trying to combat symptoms with many of them still dealing with the issues, but desperate to find some relief. There is most definitely money being made, and the last thing they want to see are natural remedies. Also, I am not the exception, there are countless people on reddit and other forums across the internet talking about how fasting has helped them deal with their long covid issues.
Why do you keep bringing up Joe Rogan by the way, I didn't even mention him.
