I did. That's why this is weighing on me - I am part of the company team that has handled all aspects of covid, including separating otherwise good/happy/productive people from their employment because our external experts said we should not accept 'natural immunity' as being protective compared to the shot, even when presented with positive antibody tests. And they were right, and the experts were dead wrong.

I am pro-vax but there were/are lots of reasons people chose not to get vaxxed, some more 'reasonable' than others. I dont care about the loonies that think its microchipped or whatever, I care about the people who were trying to do the right thing - and were right!

Whatever, its done with now, but knowing that every vax mandate in the world should have also included provisions for natural immunity seems like a big deal when adding up our public health performance. Whoops.

Still on this? you are operating from a position of hindsight.

It no longer matters who was right or wrong. It simply doesnt.

You negate the fact that COVID mutated no less than 6 times. And within those mutations, PRIOR infection PROVED to not be "as effective" - even the vaccines had to be tweaked to offer protection from variants.

What would have been different had we known from say day 20 that it was indeed a lab leak? vs natural

Hold China responsible ? How? in what way do we apply punitive measures to China without conjuring up armed conflict? Tariffs? Ex communicate them from world stage? Do they care enough ?

Point is... I believe they did know... Doesn't matter now. We were lied to... for various political reasons... again. The official story was something out of a South Park episode / Low budget Si-Fi flick... and never made sense given all the other details of origin. The question shouldn't be what in hindsight... It should be why the lie in the first place. And now in hindsight, what if anything can be trusted. At least that's where I'm at.

So we are left with summations - which im not entirely comfortable making a definitive decision on.

The official story was based on prior novel virus outbreaks...ebola, MERS, SARS etc. All natural and well within the parameters of COVID 19 following same pathway. And since there was no ability to investigate, government(s) took the stance of applying the more probable cause ( based in historical events ) vs summation.

Now, 3 years later, we STILL are "best guessing" because NO ONE has investigated and determined 100% it was the LAB.

And for arguments sake, lets say government DID know....came from Wuhan Lab. Telling us back in 2021 changes what? Your trust in government? Thats it?

I am now questioning everything they have told us from jump, and am 100% off of the reservation. I have no doubt now that the initial origin story will end up being a proven politically motivated lie, and the WSJ article and Energy Depts. findings will be the first step in walking it back with tons of BS excuses to follow... and what SIBL just posted sadly likely plays into that going forward... makes my head hurt.

I'm not sure how it would have benefitted the public for the government to say it escaped from a lab (even if that was the truth) at the beginning of the pandemic. It would not have changed anything that we needed to do at the time, it would have just caused us to focus on punishing China instead of doing what we needed to do to get through the pandemic.

Now that it's almost over, i can see the government slow rolling out the info that it did indeed leak from the lab (if that is what happened), especially since we are at a place where public animosity towards China might serve the interests of the government.

I am not one of those people who thinks that the government must always tell the public the whole truth. The public isn't mature enough for that sort of policy to work.
