But, I do wonder how much culture really plays a role in how cautious people are with this? I know you live Uptown (or The Channel) and so does Nolaswede and, based on what both of you have said, it sounds like people in that area are being very, if not overly cautious, but I'm not seeing the same thing in the Lakeview area and in Jefferson Parish along Vets. People seem much less cautious about this. I'm not sure why that is and it could just be anecdotal, but I find it interesting.

This is the wrong board to point out why that is, but I think we all know why that is. I can give you an overlay of local precincts which voted for Eddie Rispone in 2019 and predict that the shoppers in those stores are less likely to wear masks with pretty good accuracy. I've had to go to Lowe's on Jefferson Highway at the parish line twice in the last few weeks when stuff in my house has broken and based on my own anecdotal observations I could probably tell you which folks drove there from which direction based on masks vs. no masks with pretty good accuracy and whether they think COVID is a hoax or not. But I'll leave it there.

Never Forget

Private jet. Sure. Crammed in like a sardine in coach, nah. Now my limit is about a 20 hour drive radius. Why do you ask if I may ask?

I hate flying so that's my normal radius. I like to drive anyway and it's probably a bit cheaper normally to just get a cheap room and drive if you have more than 1 person.

I don't like to drive more than about 4 hours or so, but it looks like my tolerance is going to go up.

Put some pants on and the virus will go away. I guess.

No doubt at some point we are all having to take actions to protect ourselves and we can't always expect others to care.

Covington is just as bad as your area. It's nuts how few mask up. Shoot I saw several ladies at store with gloves but no mask and others wearing mask UNDER nose.
Why even wear??

Costco this morning (NOLA) was about 70% masks, and they are making them mandatory starting May 4th.

I'm actually thinking of going to Pensacola for a few days, but I will be staying away from people.
You will have to deal with the checkpoint on quarantine if you travel by I-10. Of course you can take hwy 90E of the Foley Beach Express and avoid it easily.
