Everyone is at home. Criminals are going to attempt to take things from people while they're at home? Seems like a panicky move from jumpy folk or from people who really want to live out their post-apocalyptic fantasies.

A girl I work with had her car/garage/house ransacked and they did the same to the entire neighborhood here in DFW.

so it's not some "panicky move from jumpy folk or from people who really want to live out their post-apocalyptic fantasies"...as you say..

Why is criminal activity more likely to happen now?

Mass business closures mixed with stressed and scared people can be an explosive combination

I am not advocating stocking up on more ammo than you would ever need, but I see the possibility.

Your wife ain't the only one. That's happened to my wife before. That shirt ain't fun.

Yeah it went from things left on her car then started putting things on our door. Also keep in mind we don't just live in a house, we're in a secure high rise apt. To say my wife is scared sheetless leaving some mornings is putting it mildly.

Places like Philly announced that the police will only respond to violent crime. Not for car thefts, burglaries or anything that isnt considered a violent crime.

Someone posted on here that Norfolk has a similar policy in place.

Removing people's ability to defend their families and property right now is a bad look.

Dude, that's messed up - I am sorry to hear that. Do you know the identity of the guy? Does he have any prior connection to her?
