Cutting the cable, lets talk options and media setups (1 Viewer)

Went to Walmart looking for the Homeworx antenna
Came out with the mohu leaf mini ($20)
Super easy and gets the job done (I had to do 2 scans on the tv to get all the channels but it's all good)

I'm getting flyers from COX now. Apparently they are offering a starter pack with no equipment for $25.00 a month for 2 years which includes HBO GO or Showtime. You can use apps on Roku, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV through syncing and mirroring. See nothing about sports networks being added to that package but it is a start at least on dropping their prices.

I'm still sticking with Sling TV.

BTW, I'm not sure what's up but I'm back to not receiving WYES again. Argh!
To update, we now have a good signal from WYES. I went in the attic with the lady downstairs monitoring the signal strength meter. We figured it out after about 20 minutes of moving the antenna around.

I'm hoping once they move back to Narvare Ave. at the new studio this all gets corrected.

Probably not if the transmitter site is not moving. I thought the transmitter site is located in Chalmette.

I've been liking my PS Vue but this may be a viable option:

Thoughts?

I'm still on the fence about the acquisition, but, in general, feel that anything that brings more, better service and could drive the price down for consumers is a good thing.

It also seems that moves like this from AT&T means that they must be giving up on U-verse.

Does anyone know if Comcast received as much scrutiny when they gobbled up NBC and the like?

We just signed up for Sling (Walking Dead premiere, yo) and I think it's great. Most channels include some (but not a lot of) on-demand programming, which I didn't expect, so that's a bonus.
