DA is gone. Don’t jump on the disrespect, he did a lot of good here (2 Viewers)

2017 wild card, 5-point lead, sacked Cam Newton to end the game
2018, week 16 vs PIT, 3-point lead, forced fumble to secure home field advantage
2018, divisional round vs Philly, 6-point lead, Lattimore INT ended the Eagles’ attempt to come back
2020, wild card vs Chicago, kept them out of the end zone until the final play and kicked the Bears into a rebuild
XLIV, 7-point lead, a member of the Dennis Allen-coached secondary caught a pick and ran the other way and secured the team’s first Super Bowl.

It’s okay to not like Dennis Allen but some of you are cruel to the point of being ahistorical about the times his defenses DID step up.
Wait a monkey fighting minute...you really citing the 2017 Carolina win. You do remember what happened the play before that right?

If the WR doesn't inexplicably put his hands up in the wrong spot to catch the ball we lose that game

Still made the play on 4th down :idunno:
What I didn’t mention was the interception Drew threw on 4th down at midfield while protecting that 5-point lead

It was time for Dennis Allen to go. Someone had to be held accountable.

He had horrible injury luck his first year and this year. The OL situation was impossible but they needed a change.

However, I hope we don’t continue the complete disrespect. His overall coaching record doesn’t really have much to do with the Saints. He was .500 coach after week 2.

DA did a lot for the Saints and New Orleans as the secondary coach in our Super Bowl run and as a DC he helped keep Brees and Sean going for another 4-5 seasons and ended our defensive nightmare overnight.

It absolutely didn’t workout with him as Head Coach, but let’s remember to appreciate some of the things that did go right for him here over the last 18 years.

I’m excited about the new direction and thank
you for everything you did here Coach!
I really believe DA gave all he had. Unfortunately for him he was a #2 not a HC. He was dealt a pretty rough hand from a salary cap perspective which the new HC will inherit a worse position. More should be held accountable but I don't believe they will.

DA thank you for always being a stand-up guy. We wish you well in Denver.

Well y'all got what you wanted.

This is my final takedown of Dennis Allen.

The fact that you are saying that in a way that makes it seem like its something you didn't want, really makes you scratch your head. I'm not sure what else you'd need to see to say the man doesn't have the first bit of head coaching ability in his body. The 9-8 last year was a pure mirage. Id venture to say 28 teams in the NFL that played that schedule would've been somewhere around 9-8. This year, we played actual quarterbacks. And it went exactly like the rational who dats said it would. Oh the sunshine pumpers were on a high horse the first 2 weeks though. Mirage.

Loomis should be fired (among a myriad of other draft trades and flops, cap disasters and press conference gas lighting) just for hiring him to begin with and giving him 2 1/2 years to knead his own ego with the hopes of looking like the smartest guy in the room again. It took GAYLE poking around with the players to make a change. If that aint proof your life cycle as a GM is over, I'm not sure what is.

So Allen ends his head coaching career at 26-53. The 2nd worst head coach in the history of the NFL with 75+ games coached. And far and away the worst in the free agency era. He lost more than 2 games per win. He entered the 2024 season with a .371 career win %, and he brought that DOWN. The excuses ran dry. Amy Trask was right all along. Eventually when you run out of excuses, when every avenue leads to the same place, when after 6 years as a head coach you are still just as bad as year 1......its over.

Kinda funny how we have some on here defending deer as a DC, but can’t defend him as a HC. Being a DC wasn’t his downfall. It was his inability to actually be the main voice of a team. I give two 💩💩s what he did as a DC. My main issue is what he did while trying to parade around as some leader. Don’t ever say “The turkey is prepared, I just have to cook it”. Then you and your goon squad walk out for his very 1st game, toting luggage, wearing matching grey sweatsuits, while drinking bougie coffees, then proceed to wet the bed for the next 2.5 years. You talk that talk, then walk that walk. Dude thought it was going to be easy. With a good team in tact, with a weak division, it should’ve been easy, but his true colors came out. Good riddance 🦌. Thanks for all of the pain, anger, and division amongst the fanbase.

I am not saying I didn't want it. I didn't expect him to be fired after this game. Also people on the game day board were actively rooting and cheering Bryce Young on so that DA would get fired instantly.

As for this move, the offense could improve but we're going to be catching up or in shootouts I'm afraid. DA held teams early on. They usually start scoring TDs when the defense is worn out. Now idk. The strength of our defense(backfield) will not have that backbone all game now.

But, but, but.....Klint Kubiak is going to fix everything!!!! All we need is a good OC and all will be fine!!!!!! I wanted to believe in DA but I saw very early on he didn't have what it took to be a competent HC.....but, a whole lot of so-called experts on this board sure did bend over backwards, do incredibly difficult mental gymnastics to justify this fairy tale that he was suddenly going to turn into a leader.....it was absolutely ridiculous.....
