2 4-13 seasons? I cant imagine anyone on this board - even the Allen supporters or those who have made peace with him being the coach in 2023 - will be ok with Allen getting another season if he goes 4-13, 5-12, 6-11, etc. I think with this roster, Allen shouldnt get another season if he doesnt win the division. Clearly the best team in the division right now. The next best QB as it stands in the NFCS is a man who sees ghosts.

Agree with that for sure.

If they go 4-13, DA would have to go (unless it’s bc Carr gets injured in game 1 or something crazy).

There are no excuses now. You got your QB. The team is going all-in. Division title or bust.

It’s actual math. Had we beaten the Bucs, we would have won the division. One game.

You sound like one of the people trying to convince themselves Richardson is better than CJ or Young because of the combine. I watched our games last year; we were never a good team. We were swept by the Bucs and Panthers, hard to win a division when 2 of the four teams sweep you and you have a losing record.

As far as Richardson, not sure what kind of player he will be. My only discussions about him have been about where he will be drafted. Top 10.

Another reason not to take anything this poster says seriously, I think last week he said:

So if you look at the team closely, we’re only a good QB away. As it stands right now, without a QB, we have a better overall roster than 2009.

Right me either. (I was just saying if that did happen, we'd reboot w/ a new coach and staff) However, I do agree that DC has created expectations of at least 10 wins.

You assumed that 4-13 was my prediction/expectation, so you felt it necessary to re-post where i said to the extent : that we're one player away, and have a better roster than 2009.) Its sad that you need a replay. If you read carefully my posts we wouldnt be having this conversation. Its also sad you're trying to ruin a good day for the Saints with ticky tack BS.

I said slander because i didn't think you knew what libel meant, tbh. You tried to expose me by saying I contradicted myself. (i said if we go 4-13 x 2 then the Saints fire DA. While that's true, iirc, at least 2 if not 3 of those games could have gone either way. The second Bucs game is the one that really did the team in. Winning is hard in the NFL, particularly vs division rivals no matter how good or bad teams are. The team definitely had some flashes but injuries, some questionable key play calls and the defense not getting many turnovers hurt.

We've got some good talent in key positions. I think there's a decent chance at winning the division with Carr at QB. Time will tell.

This is going to be the same situation as Deshaun. Get them to the threshold and they leave you at the altar. Just draft a QB and make it work, that's how other teams have to do it, why not us? Retreads are always a gamble. We haven't drafted a QB high in the draft in forever. And don't say they have to be in the top 5 to do it because Brees was 2nd round, Hurts was 53rd pick and Lamar Jackson was 32nd pick!

Yep, there were more than a few fans gun shy after the last few attempts at a big get in free agency or trades. Understandable. Just happy we can move on to the draft. Lots to argue about there.

Whatever, I said the roster outside of drew Brees was as good or better. And that arguably we could be one player away. Some people feast on negativity, and the worst case scenerio, I’m not one of them. Nit picking me when I’m clearly just trying to be positive about the team. My whole point in most of what I say, is perception. Two people can have the total opposite opinion while looking at the exact same thing. You can’t ruin my day, but spewing negativity on a good day just makes you look like the sound that is made when a brick falls into the water . Lol
